Changeset When Comment
44329075

It'd be helpful to other mappers if you reduce the size of the bounding boxes of your changesets. That way people would be able to see what's changed in their local area. Also, it'd be great to use language that talked about the things affected (paths, houses, etc. rather than say things like "self intersection ways" which is never in a million years going to explain to the person who created it what they did wrong.

Andy

@majkaz If after a few more days you haven't got a response to these and the same sort of mapping is continuing it ay just be that the user used a throw-away email address to sign up to MAPS.ME with (or doesn't understand English). Either way, you can try emailing the Data Working Group at data@osmfoundation.org to see if we can get in contact somehow. Another possibility might be to try a an automatic Swahili translation of any messages (e.g. by Google Translate).

Andy Townsend (from the DWG).

Hello,
Can you explain what you were trying to do to relation/1152717 in this changeset and your more recent change? A changeset with no comment does not really explain it.
There previously were two South Ossetia / Tskhinvali Region relations, relation/4494580 and relation/1152717 but now there is only one.
If you believe that the situation here does not match the situation on the ground as per http://wiki.osmfoundation.org/w/images/d/d8/DisputedTerritoriesInformation.pdf can you please email OSM's Data Working Group at data@osmfoundation.org to put across your point of view?

Hello,
Can you explain what you were trying to do to relation/4494580 in this changeset? A comment of "Asia" does not really explain it.

For info, another one:

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
As you can see from the orange line around this change on the map at the right when you view the changeset on the OpenStreetMap website, it overlaps with the Atlantic because some data was accidentally added there.
It's been deleted now, but have you any idea how incorrect latitude and longitude values could have got into the data that you added?

Andy

Hello,
Please don't add test data to the live OpenStreetMap Server. If you want a test server, perhaps http://api06.dev.openstreetmap.org/ would work for you?

Andy

Thanks Dewi.
learnosm's "sample.osm" used to turn up fairly regularly (see https://github.com/hotosm/learnosm/issues/335 ). It was fairly easy to spot because it used to have names such as "Happy Park" and "Cat Forest" in it. The recent examples were slightly different - buildings such as way/451299059/history look like they've been drawn near the learnosm sample data, but aren't actually part of it.

@pitscheplatsch Does this (and possibly 43958066) still need reverting? Someone mentioned on IRC a few days ago that it might - There are a lot of deletes here and I'm guessing that the other one is a redraw.

I'm not sure what happened, but node/3824820400/history was a school in the middle of the sea.

Hello,
Is node/4444060192 supposed to be a joke, or are you trying to say that there really is a "memorial" at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean?
