As I mentioned back in changeset/42920193 and previously, you've re-added an imaginery name:fr to part of the M1 and M18 here. I drive these roads fairly regularly and can assure you that no such name is signposted. As previously discussed in changeset/39515595 please don't add names that don't exist in the real world just to make it appear in JOSM.

As you can see from the orange line around this change on the map at the right when you view the changeset on the OpenStreetMap website, it goes well into the Atlantic because some data was accidentally added at latitude 0, longitude 0.
It's been deleted now, but have you any idea how incorrect latitude and longitude values could have got into the data that you added?

"remapping all the lowest numbered OSM nodes still in the database" has got to be one of the stranger OSM projects...

You might also want to double-check the spelling of the "Yankie" in here too, or check with the original mapper.

What were the usage statistics on "shop=candle" and "shop=candles" before you changed e.g. node/4401825186/history ?

For info, I've removed the "name" from way/456745571 as it's really not named that. See osm.wiki/Names#Name_is_the_name_only for more info.

Which is the "the map" that you're talking about here? There are lots of maps created with OpenStreetMap data - please don't tag something incorrectly so that it shows up on one particular rendering. Just try and tag it as accurately as possible and let each individual renderer worry about whether or how to display it.

I'm confused - the changeset comment says "Setting Peak Rail tags to preserved" yet this changeset changes Peak Rail from railway=preserved to railway=rail? Presumably you've tried to follow what the wiki says at railway=rail , but that's not always a good description of how people tag things. In this case http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/search?q=railway%3Dpreserved is used 5 times more often than http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/railway%3Apreserved#values .

For info, the _actual_ location of this buoy is supposed to be listed at http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/realtime2/13010.drift . That hasn't updated in a month or so, but in theory should give the present location. However, given that it's drifting around 0,0 it makes as much sense as any just to use that as the location, since that's where it's supposed to be :)
