Oops - you've added a bar in the middle of the Atlantic here. Can you please re-add it where it actually exists?

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
I'm guessing that the area where the two radio masts are way/445702269 isn't a building and isn't a shop? I'm guessing that you were looking for something involving "radio" and that's what the iD editor suggested?
The two masts are already mapped (as man_made=antenna, which may not be the best tag) so presumably the area around it is just a fenced-off area - maybe "landuse=commercial" would work here?
Hope you don't mind me mentioning this, just trying to help - any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
The last time that I was the there, the name of way/211936795 was just Croxton Lane (according to the sign in Harston).
The changeset comment says it's to "make turn by turn navigation work". What app or device is having a problem with not giving turn directions when the road name remains the same?
Cheers,
Andy

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
It's not necessarily a problem if Merlin Close is in two parts with the same name - if a road has other tags that vary along its length (perhaps if the speed limit changes) then that'd be entirely normal.
In this case the only difference seems to be the "postal_code" - if that's the same for both parts of the road you can merge them.
In Potlatch 2 (the editor that you are using) click on one way, control-click on the other, look at the "tags" at the left to see what's different between the two and if you're happy to merge them click the "chain" at bottom left of the window.
By the way (and I know these were added a couple of years ago by someone else) there's no need to add tags such as "foot=yes" for a residential road - it's pretty much assumed.

Andy

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
Please don't add "imaginary" nations to OpenStreetMap, even as untagged nodes.
OSM has a key concept of "verifiability" osm.wiki/Verifiability . If I go to (say) Chile I'll see people who confirm that I am indeed in Chile, and I'd probably be able to find a Chilean flag, and a Chilean football team if I look a bit further.
I won't find any of these things for the "Grand Duchy of Westarctica". I might find a few penguins, but I suspect they won't have any political allegiance.
If you want to map imaginary things, you might want to look at the http://opengeofiction.net/ project.

Andy

The duplication is done by MAPS.ME by default.
Thanks for fixing it.

Hi,
Not sure what happened here, but you managed to upload a basketball pitch in the middle of the Atlantic. I've deleted it.

嗨,
不知道这里发生,但你设法上传在大西洋中部的篮球球场。我已经删除了它。

Thanks - you've corrected the name in MAPS.ME but that hasn't actually corrected the name, just added a new "name:en" English version. It's not your fault - MAPS.ME is simply broken when it comes to fixing names.
You'll need to use any editor other than MAPS.ME to do that - one of the editors on the osm.org website, or one of the non-broken mobile editors such as Vespucci or OsmAnd.

Personally if something appears to be a track I'd map it as a track :)
There are plenty of places that are some sort of "road" (e.g. way/50733252 ) which are best described as tracks; perhaps a designation of "unclassified_road" might work to indicate the legal status if it doesn't at first glance match the physical status?
Obviously it's a sliding scale, and I've never been to this bit of Norfolk, so I can't really comment where on that scale it is.
For info see http://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/designation for designation values in use.

Andy

Hello and welcome!
It's a bit of a stretch to say that Ascension is "in Africa".
Is there any reason why you're adding "is_in:continent" for it?
OSM is geographical data - everything has a location, so I can't think of any logical reason to add this tag anywhere, actually.
Cheers,
Andy

Well spotted, thanks.

What would suggest as an appropriate "trail visibility" (see trail_visibility=* ) for the path across Morecambe Bay way/177018529 ?

@jc86035 thanks - we'll see what he has to say when he gets a chance to reply.

See https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/52388/lots-of-peaks-close-together .
@vasinlo26 in this particular example, what suggested to you that this was a "natural=peak" rather than just the elevation of something? Also, where did the elevation come from? An elevation of 9.8m seems very unlikely. I'm not familiar with the area, but have seen the similar tower blocks surrounding HK, and they're _much_ taller than 9.8m above ground level, which I suspect (give that we're in a place called "Ling Hill") is likely well above sea level.

I think you overestimate Wipro's spending power if you think that they'd ever be able to afford naming rights to Old Trafford...

Seriously, edits like this are at best fantasy mapping and at best vandalism. Don't do it.

Hello,
Please don't add test data to the live OpenStreetMap Server. If you want a test server, perhaps http://api06.dev.openstreetmap.org/ would work for you?

Hello. Is this really a restaurant with a name "My Perfect boutique New London" (according to Google Translate)? It seems an unlikely name.
Merhaba. "londra kaldigim ew" bir isimle bu gerçekten bir restoran nedir? Bir ihtimal isim gibi görünüyor.

Also, the new things that you added, such as way/446086268 , didn't have any tags on them (that just connected a road to a power line). If you're local to the area, maybe try moving the guest house node/4305891604#map=19/31.84423/54.32542 to the correct location? Currently it's in the middle of the street.

Andy

Oops - as well as a couple of new buildings you managed to upload the "learnosm" test data - "Cat Forest" etc.
I've reverted it; would you like to try again?
