I was not planning on reverting the entire changeset, just the Nature reserve's boundary, effectively re-importing it.
Am I right to understand that you have reverted the Nature reserve's boundary yourself?
BTW, AFAIK, תמ"א 39 is not a valid source for Nature Reserve boundaries.

As far as I understand the law, nature reserve boundaries can only be declared and changed by process that is finalized with an announcement by the Minister of Interior. They are no affected by national plans or subsequent approval of local plans.

There seem to be various populated places that overlap Nature reserve. The Mt. Meron Nature reserve being an extreme case.

I also think it is not our responsibility to resolve conflicts created by the authorities. For example, an overlap of 3 Nature Reserve declarations at

or a gap between a nature reserve and its extension at
https://israelhiking.osm.org.il/#!/14/30.0880/34.8989

waterway relations are used for long rivers as it reduces the number of data duplication and helps keep them synchronized.

The wiki also says:
Please remember to remove duplicated values from the segments (including waterway=river tag), if they are the same for the whole relation. Segments should be tagged only with values that are specific to them. For example width=* value may belong here, because width of the river usually changes a lot from its source to the mouth.

It seems like there advertised Ashdod->Limassol route is also not available.
By the way, these GPS traces could also be from people sailing on yachts and passenger ships.

This seems to be a vehicles carrier service between England and the Mediterranean, not a ferry.
It sails from Ashdod to Limassol - unrelated to Haifa.
It does not sail in the reverse direction.

I am not aware of any formal announcement of a change in the boundaries.
If this was by mistake, I would like to revert the change.

It seems that you are the only person that mapped the "شارع رئيسي" name in Israel.
I have never seen such a name in Israel, and it contradicts the Israeli street naming conventions.

What is the source of the "شارع رئيسي" ("Main Street") name for way/497163516 and road 8050 way/39785028?
Have you seen in on the street signs?
