Hi Harel,

In this changeset you have created a "wikipedia" tags with "he:..." value and a "wikipedia:he" tag. Both tags point to the same page.

My understanding of the wikipedia=*#Secondary_languages
paragraph is that "wikipedia:*" tags should handle additional languages and not include a duplicate of the primary wikipedia language.

If this edit done through Israelhiking.osm.org.il, I'll open an issue on Github. However, I'm not sure what was the user flow required to reproduce it.

If there is no separate bicycle crossing sign (תמרור 812 - https://noeg.co.il/tamrurs/i257.jpg), then IMO highway=footway with footway=crossing tags is just fine, without any bicycle/cycleway tags.
.
When there is such a sign, then some elaborate tagging is required, probably with segregated=yes. I didn't go into the depths of bicycle tagging philosophy.

58785949

BTW, according to Israeli law, (129)(ז), riding a bicycle is forbidden on a footway=crossing.
.
The appropriate tagging is therefore,
bicycle=dismount. See
.

Nevertheless, since I don't want to get into a dispute, and I care a bit less about urban mapping, I have reverted the change for all footway=crossing ways.

58785949

The OSM Wiki does not agree on clear differentiation between "path" and "footway" highways as far as access.
.
highway=path says:
"or urban paths which a designated for pedestrians only, better use highway=footway."
.
highway=footway says:
"Where a pathway is designated for pedestrians but is also allowed for bicycles you can use highway=footway and bicycle=yes."
.
It looks like the authors of both "path" and "footway" tags would like to use their own tag for mixed usage with the usual majority for walking.
.
Personally, I find "footway" + bicycle=yes confusing misleading and redundant.
.
In addition, there is nothing that prevents the use of path=crossing or cycleway=crossing. See osm.wiki/Any_tags_you_like

Are you referring to highway=crossing or some other kind of crossing?
crossing=*

Thanks!
Using "facts on the ground" is an important rule in OSM.

שלום ירון וברוך הבא ל
OSM
.
oneway=yes
.
תודה!

Hello Udi,
.
What is the source of this change?

I could not find an announcement of this trail closure at the ITC site -
https://www.teva.org.il/?CategoryID=279&ArticleID=422
or at the RTG site -
https://www.parks.org.il/category/newsflash/
The IRC map says the trail is "Temporarily closed", not "cancelled".

Hello Ans Mansour and welcome to OSM!
.
In this edit you have added an area with no other information - way/584382628
.
I have deleted it because it does not seem to match any facts on the ground.
.
I hope you will continue to improve the OSM map, especially in the Arab sector.

Hello,
.
In this edit you have changed the name of the Yasaf stream from Hebrew to Arabic while only the smaller part of the stream is in the area of an Arab village.
.
I understand your eagerness to name OSM items in Arabic. However, when an element is shared between Arab and Jewish areas, please restrict the Arab names to the Arab administrative boundaries.
.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello Gil and welcome to OSM!
.
In this edit you have added access=no to way/278566467
.
It seems like access is permitted by foot, bicycle and vehicles. What access is not permitted?

Hello Moshe and welcome to OSM!
.
The description for the node created in this edit looks a copy of https://amudanan.co.il/w/index.php/P863731
.
Did you get permission from the copyright owner of that site?
.
If not, please delete the copied material. The same question is relevant to a few other edits you did.
.
Thank you for your other contributions and let's keep OpenStreetMap open.

Hello Hatul,

Please avoid reverting edits before communicating with the alleged copyright offender or discussing it in the OSM Israel forum - http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=33
.
It would be best if the original editor would acknowledge and correct his own mistake.
.
Thanks,
Zeev

Thanks for reversing the change.
Clearly there can be a difference between administrative boundaries and physical boundaries.
It looks like the checkpoint was created within the Jerusalem administrative boundaries, just like a customs checkpoint is located within the administrative boundaries of the controlling nation.
"MOIN" stands for Ministry Of INternal affairs. See
osm.wiki/WikiProject_Israel#MOIN_import
and
https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=10756
for more details on this import.

Hello Mr Massri,
What is the source for these changes in the administrative boundaries of Jerusalem?
For example, the govmap.gov.il boundaries at
https://goo.gl/taHm8X
look like the boundary deleted in this edit, rather than the fixed boundaries.

57617712

I'm not asking about any tag changes. I'm asking about the change in the shape and the position of the boundary that was caused by adding node/5512692697

Hello IbnTēšfīn,
.
In this edit you have added an "ele=6" tag to
way/110058089
.
As far as I see, the elevation near the Cave of the Patriarchs is about 885 meters above sea level.
Did you have some other property in mind?
Perhaps building:levels=* ?
