| 187250604 | Hello xx, If you are using privately acquired imagery or publicly available imagery, please make sure that the the terms of use allow its use as a source for OSM. See osm.wiki/Vertical_Aerial_Photographs for details. |

| 185769457 | P.S., the name:en tag is for English names. Please do not use it for Hebrew names. |

| 184430600 | Hello Map_Moderator, Thank you for your contribution to OSM. The changeset/184430799#c1643111 comment applies here too:
Please respect other mappers contribution, as you would like others to respect your contribution. |

| 185769457 | Hello Map_Moderator, Thank yo for your contributions to OSM. In this edit you have changed the name of way/433088292 I have not seen a Hebrew name for this intermittent stream in all maps I have access to. What is the source of this name change? Have you assigned the name based on עין חנדק (node/4319817216)? OSM mappers are not expected to invent names and put them on the map. Note that the previous name Wadi Yusuf - ואדי יוסף does appear in a British map from 1940's: |

| 184430799 | Hello Map_Moderator, Thank you for your contributions to OSM. Please be careful when changing or deleting other mapper's work. I have used this path, and so have many hikers, as can be seen in the GPS traces uploaded to OSM. The fact that the path is not marked can only serve as a reason to avoid tagging it as such. It does not justify deleting it from OSM. As a side note, unrelated to the OSM criteria on mapping, the "official" map for marked trails (מפו סימון שבילים) clearly show unmarked trails and roads in Israeli Nature Reserves. The Israeli Nature and Parks Authority (רשות הטבע והגנים) is a member of the ITC (הועדה לשבילי ישראל) that produces these maps. |

| 177367092 | I don't remember that gate either. Yes. If a gate exists "on the ground", it can be mapped. If there are no restrictions on passage, then the tagging would reflect that. As to the "is it worthwhile mapping?" question, I believe it is up to the mapper. In the same line of thought, one may question the need to map barrier=cattle_grid. IMO, this could serve as an orientation mark, just like an information=guidepost. BTW, it would be more appropriate to bring topic in a discussion forum rather than here.

| 186545749 | Hello @counter123boat, Welcome to OSM! Historic data remains in OSM DB. It can be easily extracted using Overpass. See osm.wiki/Overpass_API/Overpass_QL#Date Also please see osm.wiki/Nonexistent_features. |
|
| 186462177 | Do you suggest that mapping the area of the "place=village" is meaningless? Why? P.S., I do not see good coverage of the Daliat el Karmel village with landuse=residential objects. |
|
| 186462177 | for the record, way/60356145 has a place=village tag and therefore it is not meaningless.

| 186545749 | Hello xx vv19, Thank you for your contributions for mapping the facts on the ground in the Gaza Strip. Please refrain from changing the administrative boundaries. The mapping of the border way/1545514257 is not compilent with the OSM mapping guidelines, as described in the wiki - boundary=administrative?uselang=en Administrative boundaries need to define closed areas, not border lines. A segment of a border could belong to multiple administrative boundaries with different admin-level. See the list of relations that way/1545514257 belongs to. Unlike most of OSM elements, administrative boundaries are not based on "facts on the ground", but rather on the legal definition of the boundaries. Therefore, what is the reason for removing administrative boundaries? Was there any legal process that removed them? Also please do not change names with political implication, such as the change you made in way/1220317428. This can easily create an "edit war". See osm.wiki/Disputes |

| 185571987 | I doubt that any of the military forces in the area rely on OSM... |
|
| 185701260 | I doubt that sat imagery can tell you if any remaining of the building exist on the ground to a level that justifies any of the OSM Stages of decay prefixes osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix#Stages_of_decay. May I suggest you get in touch with @xx%20yyy19 and check which imagery is up-to-date. I have no knowledge on this subject. I've only noticed two overlapping mapping efforts by the two of you. |

| 185571987 | @Norbert Dichter Please note the potential issue of mapping buildings that no longer exist. changeset/185701260 |

| 185701260 | Hello Jenessian, Thank you for your contribution to OSM. Please note that user xx yyy19 is also actively mapping in the Gaza Strip, reflecting the removal of buildings in the area, based on recent imagery. In response to my message at changeset/185728697 the user wrote: > I have selected 7 changesets to review. For all 7 sampled changesets listed below the user based work upon Bing Maps Aerial imagery which is not up-to-date, thus, made incorrect edits. Evidence to this can be seen in public imagery available on google maps.
I'd appreciate if you could review the above comments on your recent edits and avoid further mapping based on outdated Bing imagery of the Gaza Strip. Best regards,

| 185728697 | Hello xx yyy19, Thank you for your contribution to OSM. Please note that user is also actively mapping in the Gaza Strip. I'd appreciate if you could take a look at his updates with this OSMCha query and see if there are inconsistencies with the imagery you are using. |
