Hi
What sources have you used for these edits.
I can find no reference to Hells Kitchen in FHRS listings. Also the building=kiosk is certainly wrong here, shop=kiosk may be correct.

Hi
I am wondering why you have changed a road, that clearly provides access to a house, to a path which will prevent vehicle access?

Rather than private=yes you should use access=private.

Hi
Please could you explain the reason for these edits as you seem to have broken routing for HGVs?
By changing way/125103402 to motor_vehicle=yes will break routing by allowing hgvs to use the passenger checkin.

Please discuss these problems with the UK community rather than just changing things to see what happens.

Cheers
Phil

Hi, welcome to OSM.
Please can you explain which routers were having problems and what those problems were.
All 3 on OSM are currently working and it is unlikely that they have updated in under 20 minutes.

In OSM we follow the on the ground rule, this road is signed as the A167(M) so that is what should be what we map.

Sabre is again not a valid source for OSM.

Hi again
Not sure why you have change the B877 back to a ref tag, it was previously in the old_ref tag with a pretty good explanation of why in the note tag.

Again sabre is not a valid source for use in OSM.

I have reverted this edit.

Hi, welcome to OSM.

We do not tag refs for tertiary and unclassified roads as these are only used internally by local authorities and they are not signed.

Telling a normal user of OSM to follow the C2073 is only going to confuse as there are no signs.

Sabre's wiki is also not a valid source for OSM, we do not know what source they have use to obtain this information.

Where we do map such references we use the tag highway_authority_ref highway%20authority%20ref=*?uselang=en

Hi, what sources were you using for this edit?

A number of thing have gone very wrong with this changeset however.
1. Th smallest amount of research would have shown that in the UK maxspeed should be tagged with the mph suffix.
2. Maxspeed:goods has only been used here in the UK, there is a tag maxspeed:hgv which could be used.
3. You have added a maxspeed of 50, which is incorrect. The maxspeed here is 60 mph. You should break other use cases to suit your use case.
4. Where did 50 come from? Did you intend kph or mph but what source did you use here.
5. Had you used the maxspeed:hgv tag then that should have been 40 mph.
6. Smoothness = intermediate seems very wrong, however what was the source?

Hi Les
Openstreetmap is an open data project. We can only use sources that are not subject to copyright and that we have permission to use.
The gold standard in mapping is seeing it with your own eyes.

We cannot use either Google Street View or current OS maps for this reason.

OS gets a little more complex as there is OS Open Data available, but that does not show rights of way data and we can use historic out of copyright OS maps although obviously things may have changed in the 25+ years.

In the absence of valid sources I believe that this changeset should be reverted.

Hope this explains things, don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions.

Cheers Phil
