So your solution is to add another fake crossing?

Pedestrians can cross the road wherever they like. Drawing decorative sidewalks just adds unnecessary complications to pedestrian routing. We do not have, or want oppressive jaywalking rules.

No pedestrian actually follow this route to get from the pub to the Spar osm.org/directions?engine=graphhopper_foot&route=52.939181%2C-4.141642%3B52.939257%2C-4.141277#map=19/52.938975/-4.141400

Hello
These changesets have made pedestrian routing worse.
The pavement is only separated from the road by kerbs and a pedestrian will just cross the road, after following the normal rules. They should not be sent on a long diversion to a crossing. Especially where there are none in the real world.
Have you actually visited Tremadog and surveyed these crossings? What is the source of these crossings?
Because I can't spot them. https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=241065118038134

I am certainly no wiki expert so am not able to work out where any discussion of depreciating this tag took place or if there was any.

Thank you for your response but firstly remember that the wiki should always be taken with a large pinch of NaCl. Just because something has been written in the wiki it is not an authorisation to remove a tag from the map.

Hello beatpoet.
Phil from the Data Working Group here. Whilst OSM is a map of the world as it exists now, not as it may be in the future meaning adding proposed features is controversial, copying from copyright documents is not ok
The proposed development you have added links to a planning document with a crown copyright map. For the avoidance of doubt this is absolutely not allowed.

Why did you change them?
Have you actually visited them to observe if there are any traces or are you trying to make them appear a certain way on a particular map?

Thank you.
I have removed the alt_name tag.

Is this translation verifiable, as in is there a sign?

Thank you Charlotte
However there is no mention of Grand Central in that article.

What is the source of Grand Central which Central Station?

Hello
Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Please remember that OpenStreetMap is a map of the world as it exists now.
Mapping things that no longer exist have no place in OpenStreetMap.

Maybe these should be added to OpenHistoricalMap.

Hello
I'm not 100% convinced by the wheelchair=no tag covering the entire object. Whilst the tag probably applies to the inside seating (I have never considered using it) it is primarily a service at the window place.
