I think you could change surveillance:type=ALPR to surveillance:type=camera instead of deleting that tag entirely if you know that it's a camera.

I consulted with the US OpenStreetMap community at https://osmus.slack.com/archives/CCJ2P6KCH/p1786386751387859 (via https://slack.openstreetmap.us/), and the consensus from that discussion is that it is indeed correct to map the utility assigned address, including the utility's unit number.

Thanks for describing the situation here. The context you gave was helpful.

Thanks again for your contributions and welcome to OpenStreetMap! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime. I also recommend joining the OSMUS Slack workspace I linked above if you're interested in getting into OpenStreetMap some more. Happy mapping!

Hello @Doug%20Treder! Thanks for adding these missing buildings. I'm curious about the address you added to the barn—does it really have an official address with a unit number "GARG"? Usually I'd think that the parcel, or maybe the house, has the address, and that the barn wouldn't have its own address, but I'm not familiar with addressing norms in Kitsap County. Please tell me more.

Thanks!

Looks good, thanks for adding your business! Please reach out if you have any questions.

Have a great week!

Cool, sounds good. Thank you for confirming. We'll see if the other user responds too.

Have a good weekend!

Hello @reynaofnoflocks,

This node was added just a few weeks ago in changeset/186124226. Do you believe that user was mistaken? Is there a traditional (non-Flock or non-ALPR) camera at or near this location that the other contributor may have mistaken as a Flock device? Please leave a comment with your thoughts so we can figure out what happened here.

Hello @Flockster

Another user believes that this camera never existed here. Is that true? If so, why did you add it? Please leave a comment at changeset/187064048 so we can resolve this misunderstanding. Thanks!

Looks like this is a driveway. I lined it up with the aerial imagery and tagged it as a driveway instead of a public residential street.

Thanks for your contributions and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Apologies for the massive bbox, folks. I'm not good at keeping track of my layers, clearly.

Fixed. Thanks again for bringing this up! Do you use some sort of QA tool that alerted you about this?

186957611

It was a mistake, I think because I misunderstood what better-osm-org was doing. I was not aware that I created this changeset. Great catch!

Just to confirm- you added both a stand (node/14073980301) and a wave (node/14073980101) bike rack. Are there really two separate racks here, or was that a mistake?

Thanks!

Thanks. I don't see this location on the company's list at https://www.kindercare.com/our-centers -- do you know why?

Also, do you know if a building was constructed in this lot, south of the new parking lot? The aerial imagery in this area is pretty outdated unfortunately.

Thanks!

per their website, they have closed.

Do you happen to know how opening_hours:kitchen=yes got into node/2159322642/history/8, or what you meant by that value?

Unfortunately, due to receiving no response, I will undo these edits. My concern is that there may still be cameras at these locations: you wrote that the cameras are not Flock, but it's unclear if there are or are not cameras at all here (why were they added to the map in the first place?)

Please reach out so I can help fix whatever the map error is. In the meantime, I've restored the cameras.

Happy mapping!

Hi-

What did you mean by opening_hours=24/7 here? Can you go to this lawyer business at any hour of the day or night, seven days a week? That seems atypical.

Looks like those note=* tags you added were supposed to be cleaned up during your editing process? Or, what do they mean?
