Thanks! Re: navigation searches (also known as geocoding), depending on what app you're using, you can expect it to be updated in a couple weeks or more with new data—a lot of apps (CoMaps, OSMAnd, etc.) only process and download new data updates from OpenStreetMap every once in a while

It looks like it is based on their website, so I moved WPC to that building instead of at the Our Lady gym.

I added more details to the campus as well—your edits were mostly good, my edits just built on top of them.

I don't believe a site relation is necessary for the buildings, but I'm not an expert on that type of relation so if you have a strong reason for why a site relation would be good then I'd be happy to discuss.

Finally—thanks for your contributions, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Feel free to reach out on the osm.org website or on Slack at https://slack.openstreetmap.us/ if you have any questions.

Another user has set this back to vegan only in changeset/183376825. Please comment there to explain why you think this place is not exclusively vegan. Thanks!

This was just recently changed from vegan-only to vegan in changeset/183130803. Was that change incorrect?

Is Westminster Presbyterian Church the building south of the gymnasium?

Thanks. In OpenStreetMap at least in the United States, we include the country code (1) and use hyphens for every group, like so: +1-206-708-6637.

I've updated this one's format. Thanks for the contribution!

I'll change it to unisex=yes then. Thanks!

Is this a dancing school?

183129571

Thanks. FWIW, that description doesn't add more information to the map—the affiliation with safeway is already captured in the tag brand=Safeway, and the machine-readable equivalent brand:wikidata=Q1508234.

Thanks again for your contributions and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Thanks. If possible, do try to write more meaningful changeset comments. Other editors do see your changeset comments and it helps a lot to be able to know what you were trying to edit.

Hey, do you happen to know what you meant by female=no male=no unisex=no on this hairdresser shop? What audience does this shop serve? Is one of those tags incorrect?

Thanks!

173722905

Hey, what do you mean by male=unisex female=unisex? If it's a single-occupancy room for either gender, it should be just unisex=yes and no female=* or male=* tags.

On the other hand, if this is really two restrooms, one female and one male, then it would not be accurate to have unisex=* at all, and it should be female=yes + male=yes. But female=* and male=* are boolean tags; I don't know of a case where a value other than yes or no makes sense according to convention.

Let me know what your intent was here.

I put the repeater details into individual tags. I assumed the frequencies you added in the description are MHz, so I multiplied them by 1,000,000 to get the value in Hz—apologies, I don't know my ham radio stuff very well :)

Do you mind looking over the tags I put on it and checking if they look accurate?

Thanks!

182823737

Thanks. I see that you removed the gnis:feature_id=* tag—it is no longer accurate; has GNIS removed the feature from their database entirely?

182858571

The location you marked doesn't look accurate—the fence seems to be closer to the street based on aerial imagery. Did a new fence get built recently? Don't add features that don't exist in real life just so you get a particular routing behavior, please.

A couple notes:

1. Please don't include personal information on OpenStreetMap; try to be more generic like "I'm familiar with the area".
2. The routing behavior you're seeing could be helped by these edits; it depends on what router program is being used. In any case, it will likely take at least a couple weeks for changes to be reflected in the routers, since most programs that use data from OpenStreetMap only update their copies of the data every once in a while.

Thanks. Note that the changeset comment is usually used to describe what changes you made, not how you know they're accurate. In this case it's pretty easy to tell that you're adding house details to a few houses in this neighborhood. But with a more complex edit, it can be hard to tell if part of your edit was made by accident if you don't write a very brief comment about what you're intending to update. This is a minor criticism of course :)

Thanks! You added the address points only for these two houses, without specifying that there's a building here. I traced the outline of the buildings so now they're on the map too.
