I know that groups of riders make up names for things, but if they aren't used by a wide group of people they don't really belong in OpenStreetMap. @EzekielT before you made your original change did you consult with anyone from the OSM community in Eritrea (either living there or, given the politics, mapping there and living remotely)?

A bus station is typically what you get at the end of a route - think railway station, but for buses.
A bus stop is where you wait at the side of a road for a bus.

Thanks for doing this (saves me a job!).

FWIW, the issue I suspect might be the same as https://github.com/twain47/Nominatim/issues/231 . The recommendation from Lonvia (who maintains Nominatim, which is what's producing "where I am" results) was "use areas".

Also, it seems a bit of an odd location (next to an HSS Hire shop). Maybe it got added in the wrong place by accident?

Looks like this has also added the Erewash Valley Line as far south to the Pilsley Road bridge to the MML relation in error, too.

Thanks for that. Re the "tertiary vs tertiary_link" thing, you might want to have a chat with the mapper who added them as tertiary links in the first place - I've never been bothered one way or the other and tend to just add them as tertiary, but some people do seem to change "tertiary" to "tertiary_link" on roundabout flares.

Is node/4273014391 ("Airbnb") actually a hotel, or is it just someone's house or flat?
If the latter it isn't really a hotel and shouldn't really be added to OpenStreetMap as one.

Something went a bit wrong with one of the University of Nevada's parking lots at way/404106343/history . One of the nodes got added in the north pacific at node/4063771189/history#map=19/46.34952/-145.67514 . I've deleted that node, but the rest of the area now looks incomplete.

Hi Robert,
Please stop thinking about things in OSM just as collections of XML data and instead starting thinking about them as representations of real-world objects. In this case someone used a python wrapper for the OS API (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/osmapi) to add an "ATM" in the middle of the Sahara desert at a suspiciously exact 10 degrees of longitude.
You have to ask yourself which is more likely - that (a) someone was exploring the Sahara Desert, and discovered an unexpected Central Bank of India bank machine, and then rather than using a regular OSM editor ran home to write something in Python to add it to OSM, or (b) they're adding test data in a place where they hope that someone won't notice?
If you fail to ask yourself this question then any edit that you make is by its very nature mechanical.
