Hello again,
Following on from my "I'm writing to you on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group" comment above, we'd had feedback from lots of OSM mappers in the area. The findings and the changes that will be made are described at
http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?pid=606038#p606038 . If you have any further comments you can contact the Data Working Group by email on data@osmfoundation.org
Thanks,
Andy

Thanks. It's probably also a good idea to check with scai and botdidier2020 (which also commented at http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussions?c=New%20Zealand#4/-39.91/173.19 to make sure that they can't see any issues with these later changesets too - just to make sure that they're happy too.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello,
Have the LINZ issues that were raised by a couple of users (with different importers) http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussions?c=New%20Zealand#2/36.0/-10.4 been addressed? I don't see anything mentioned over at https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/nzopengis .
Best Regards,

I'm not convinced that the best type of building for it would be "school" - it's a large residential building (from the imagery it looks like an older building with a newer extension).

41456821

Hello,
Here you've changed the building tag on way/38551185/history from a detailed one to a different less detailed one. Doing this removes information from OSM, so please don't do it. In this case also I'd expect a "school boarding house" to be much more like a house or dormitory than a school, so the new tag is likely just wrong. If you can't find anywhere else for it maybe a description tag would be suitable for the fact that this is a boarding house and not any other sort of building?
Best Regards,
Andy

@GCN As requested, this has now been reverted in changeset/41730738 . I see from the comment above that botdidier2020 has separately deleted some duplicates, and also noticed that in my revert changeset there were some objects that could not be deleted because they'd already gone, e.g.:
way/438976481 ERR DELETE 410 Gone The way with the id 438976481 has already been deleted

and some where a node has been re-used:
node/4366058835 ERR DELETE 412 Precondition Failed Precondition failed: node/4366058835 is still used by ways 438970155,438970155.

or changed:
DELETE 409 Conflict Version mismatch: Provided 1, server had: 2 of way/438977807

You'll therefore need to recheck for things that are missing (i.e. where both "duplicates" have been deleted) or are still duplicates, but not in a way that a way that an algorithm such as that used by osmose can detect.
Can can send the full log of the revert to you if you like, but it's large (39k lines).

@scruss On changeset/41676348 I've suggests that EzekielT raises this on the talk-ca list.

Have you deleted the Pirata buoy at 0,0 for a reason? Its website http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=13010 still exists with weather information on it - what information do you have that it has been removed or sunk?

38345201

Oops - it looks like way/408223881/history got added in the middle of the Atlantic by mistake. I've deleted it.

41440816

Oops - node/4349386259/history was added as a tree in the middle of the Atlantic - not sure how that happened. I've deleted it.

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Are you sure about the spelling of the hotel "ubytování"? It seems unlikely for a hotel in south London.
You may have thought that you were just adding a personal marker but you've just added it to OpenStreetMap so that everyone can see it - unfortunately MAPS.ME does not make that clear.

41676348

Given what happened last time when people complained, I'd definitely raise it on the talk-ca list. I wouldn't bother with the Canadian forum because that seems to be ignored by most Canadian mappers.

41709647

MAPS.ME is very limited - you'll have to use a better editor to add most things to OSM. The web-based ones on the openstreetmap.org website will work fine on a PC, or you could use something like Vespucci on mobile.

41718334

Er - no it doesn't. It actually reverts 41452536 (which was a smaller changeset by the same user with the same issue).

41458848

@user_5359 Some of this looks rubbish (e.g. node/4350476993 ) and no reply above - revert maybe?

40917226

Thanks!

@user_5359 It's been a month now; do you want to revert it, or would you like me to?
