For crosswalk mapping I recommend you try Rapid. It automatically synchronizes tags between ways and nodes. Makes consistent editing much faster.

Hello.
You marked these crosswalks as "lines", but they are actually "zebra". crossing:markings=*#Values lists all the documented values and their examples.

Hello.
You created "Unmaintained Edge Trail" way. Is that an official name of this path or just a name you came up with?

Hello.
What is the source of these edits? The changes you are making do not match any of the available satellite imagery..

If it's under construction then it should be tagged as such.

If there's construction here, then shouldn't this be tagged as such?
Routers can't read fixme tags and they would send people here...

Hello.
Why did you delete so many buildings here and randomly deleted other buildings' corners?! If you don't know how to properly use Josm or what needs to be done to disconnect buildings or fix overlapping ones, please DO NOT damage the data!

Hello.
Why did you move a construction site halfway in the middle of the road?
Why did you delete 2 valid buildings?
Why did you delete nodes from a properly mapped building and made it less detailed?

Hello.
Please note that this edit is incorrect and will be fully reverted.
public_transport=stop_position is a different element from public_transport=platform.
As documented on osm.wiki/Public_transport, a properly mapped bus stop should consist of 3 elements, a =platform where passengers wait, a =stop_position where the actual bus stops on the way, and a relation combining the two. In this case you modified a =stop_position of bus stop number 306005 as can be seen on https://bustime.mta.info/#%7B%22label%22%3A%22306005%22%2C%22value%22%3A%22306005%22%7D and created a bus stop which does not exist at all.

Alright 👍🙂

OSM can be pretty complicated by the fact that it needs to be flexible enough to handle as many as possible of different situations in the real world. Starting off with things around the areas you are most familiar with is a good start. 👍

151585199

It seems like, surprisingly, OSM doesn't have a well-established tag to encode the start of construction. 🤔🤷‍♂️
The closest I was able to find is construction_start= tag, but according to https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/construction_start there are only ~200 uses of it world-wide.

So while using that tag wouldn't be wrong, it's unlikely anybody would actually take advantage of that information.. unless there's a massive increase in popularity of this tag.

You are correct. My apologies here. I saw your 2 similar edits and didn't examine this one as closely as the first one.

You can simply merge them. Select both, that small segment and the rest of its sidewalk and either right-click to select "Merge" or press "C" shortcut(for Combine).
If there are any conflicting tag values iD/Rapid won't let you do that and throw a message at the bottom of the screen. If that happens simply make sure conflicting tags are matching and the rest should just work.

Hello.
Please split your edits into smaller geographic regions. There's no reason for this changeset to contain changes from Washington, US and Columbia.
