One other thing, the terracer can be used to outline semi-detached buildings with both segments equal.

Hi Chloe, first you have to enable the terracer plugin in JOSM, via the edit menu, preferences menu, plugins menu. Are you able to do this?

Then draw an outline around the whole terrace block with the buildings_tool plugin (this will produce a perfect square shape). If drawing or plotting each corner, make sure to square up the outline.

Then select/highlight the building outline, from the 'More Tools' menu click 'terrace a building', just to terrace, insert the number of segments, and click (usually) the box 'long side'. The building should be terraced. There are a few other options that are self-explanatory.

All 3 apartment nodes are placed on the footway, tagged only as tourism=apartment they are of no real value. That whole building is an apartment block anyway. Might be best to remove them.

Hi, if there is permissive foot access to the footpaths, then it's incorrect to tag them as access=no. The access=no tag means no access of any kind. When access is limited like this you should tag the restricted access, like horse=no or vehicle=no.

I've restored several nodes to their former position; it seems you inadvertently dragged them off of the original alignment (a power line and a boundary line).

Question is Way: The Hawthorns (1534689282) really on that alignment? The Esri imagery shows some of the new housing. It looks like your highway line might not be correct.

In the iD editor the Esri imagery can be selected from the 'Backgrounds/Settings' menu on the right.

I've now removed all the duplications that are/were on Geofabrik OSM Inspector Routing layer. I've also removed some route relations for those highways that have only one item.

There may be some sections of the existing highway where the status has been altered. I don't know those original statuses so they need to be checked.

Very interesting. It was St Peter's School for boys. And the building next door was at one time a school and home for orphaned girls. This, according to https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5858265

I think the building tag should indicate the present use, There are other tags that can describe its former use/uses. There's a social club near me that's a former school, don't think it's right to tag it building=school.

Hi, The terraced buildings you are adding are often self-intersecting and have many unjoined nodes at party walls. I've corrected a lot of these and also squared up the buildings.

It's quite easy with JOSM to terrace a building, and doing so alleviates all the mentioned problems. It will make your mapping much better and neater.
