On Saturday 25.10.2008 I drove through Remigen (north of Brugg) and tracked all paved routes.
A few days later I was very surprised because the connection between existing unpaved gravel walks and my new paved streets was made. ;)

Hi All,

Firstly, congratulations to all contributors for what is an excellent community project. I can see this data making its way into all sorts of open source software (is that legal?) in the future.

I noted recently (with no great surprise) that my new home town of Kununurra (in the Kimberley region of Western Australia) had only a handfull of streets mapped, and those seemed to be automatically generated off a survey. Well, I'm going to have a go at driving around, getting some GPS data and creating a comrehensive mapping of Kununurra. Luckily it's a reasonably small town, so this undertaking is not too overwhealming!

Hopefully I can report some progress soon.

Ich habe in den letzten Tagen viele Wege und Pfade eingegeben. Jetzt sehe ich in der Map (openstreetmap.org) dicke, gelbe Wege mit der Markierung "not_in_map-feature". Kann mir jemand sagen, was ich da falsch mache/machte? Ich kann es mir höchstens so erklären, dass ich bspw. eine Oberfläche angegeben habe, die der renderer nicht darstellen kann.

Ich habe die Aachen-Wiki-Seite jetzt komplett umgemodelt. Sie sollte jetzt wesendlich übersichtlicher sein. Auch habe ich versucht, sie besonders für Neulinge verständlicher zu gestalten. (Ich fand sie vorher ein wenig abschreckend). Natürlich gibt es an der Wiki-Seite immernoch genug zu tun, aber das Gröbste geht meiner Meinung nach schon mal in die richtige Richtung.

this is my first entry in my diary to introduce myself to everyone reading this.

As you may have read I'm 31yrs old (as of now) and my hobbies are geocaching, IT (programming, administration of *nix-systems) and I'm reading a lot.

Due to the fact that I'm walking through the nature with my GPSr always on I hope that I can post one or another track/path/new way for this great project.

Aggiunti particolari e toponomi sull'Altipiano della Manie. Ho anche aggiunto la mia prima relazione (multipolygon) in modo da contrassegnare le zone boschive ed inserirvi all'interno dei "buchi" con altri "landuse". A proposito, per contrassegnare un'area boscata è meglio usare "landuse=forest" o "natural=wood"? Non mi è chiara la differenza.
Aggiunta la provinciale da Coasco a Menosio, in Comune di Arnasco. Aggiunti toponimi in zona.

Took my GPS for a walk and added some footpaths in Romsey recreation ground near my house. Good to see that there are still things I can help with in already very well mapped Cambridge!
