[Il tracking è stato realizzato con un Garmin Vista B/W, esportato in formato TXT con il programma MapSource e convertito nel formato Gpx tramite il sito www.gpsvisualizer.com ]

Habe gestern einige Bushaltestellen zwischen Kronberg und Waldems erfasst.

Die Regel sind:
* Für jede physikalisch vorhandene Haltestelle wird ein separater Punkt in der Karte eingetragen.
* Die Punkte werden neben der Straße platziert.
* Jeder Punkt wird markiert mit
highway:bus_stop
name:Musterstraße
ref:801;802;811
operator:RMV
Die Tags "highway" und "name" sind selbsterklärend. In dem Tag "ref" werden die Buslinien eingetragen und "operator" ist der Betreiber - in diesem Falle der Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV). Später, wenn alle Haltestellen einer Linie erfasst sind, werden sie zu einer Relation zusammengefasst.

Heute (11.9.) R4 ab Eselsweg bis Blankenbach gemappt.

The start was a little hard because I found out that if you save tracks on the Garmin device the timestamp is gone. So you only have the chance to export the unsaved track logs. But in this case openstreetmap won’t reject the maps :-)

Hope to get more tracks uploaded in the future :-)

... habe ich den Betonplattenweg parallel zum Ems-Jade-Kanal vervollständigt. Leider verläuft der GPS-Track auf der falschen Seite des Kanals. Das ist aber kein Problem, da der besagte Weg absolut parallel zum Kanal verläuft. Ich denke, ich sollte die Route nochmals aufnehmen und gegebenfalls anpassen.

I didn't make a sign for a while, but I'm still alive ;). In the last days of the holidays I traced and edited the main portion of Jevenstedt, but currently I'm a bit busy, so I don't expect any major improvements during this or next week. But will continue by no later than the beginning of the autumn holidays and I hope I can finish Jevenstedt at that time (maybe some details such as roads signs will be missing). So stay tuned ;).

Объездил много проулков по Ленинскому округу. Прикольно, только машинку жалко. Иногда это похоже на offroad. А люди там постоянно ездят. Жаль не успеваю полностью закончить Ленинский район до отъезда на работу. По возвращению продолжу.

I'm quite a newbie and have come across the need for a node tag for a clock tower. Can anyone suggest what tag I should use? If there isn't such a tag in popular use, should one be proposed?

Any help much appreciated.

I found out that the names written in Arabic in the (Name) filed donot show on devices that have no arabic support, so I wrote them in English and kept the Arabic name in a new field called (Name:Ar).

Just added some more roads in Logan, Springwood, and surrounding areas. I also fixed a chunk of the Logan River and the coast near the mouth of the river.

Just added a handful of missing footpaths in Cambridge (Fulbourn Rd - flowers estate, Wycliffe Rd - Seymour St and Harvey Goodwin Ave - French's Rd).

Also added the "cycleway: opposite" tag to Kingston Street. It's not strictly a one way street any more, just no entry for motor vehicles at one end. There's no
signed cycle contraflow, but cycling is implicitly permitted. As far as I can tell, the recommended way to indicate this is to leave in the "oneway" tag and use "cycleway: opposite".

Am Dienstag, 9. September 2008, führte mich meine 1,5 stündige Mapping-Tour nach Eschmar. Folgende Straßen wurden berichtigt oder neu aufgenommen:

- Am Südhang
- Augustinusstraße
- Mörikestraße
- Tizianstraße
- van-Gogh-Platz
- Sauerbruchstraße
- Heinrich-Heine-Str.
- Kneippweg
- Lochnerstraße
- Rembrandtstraße

Als Weiteres nahm ich einen Glascontainer, eine Telefonzelle und eine Bücherei auf.

Not sure where I set the tag so my username gets added to my additions to the database.

But I am working on Kitchener Waterloo in the triangle between Victoria, Weber, and Queen St. Doing the surveying on foot using an old Magellan 315. A lot of inacuracy, and I am having to re-do a few areas when the trees and buildings are too dense for decent signal reception
