How do I look up location

Hey there everyone who happens upon this.

I’m a Pokemon Go player trying to fill in local regions to enhance the usability of the game for my friends and fellow players. I’m recently from Indianapolis and moved to Phoenix and so my mapping efforts have been moved here. I’ve been really shocked at the lack of detail in some of these maps, and I want to try to improve the neighborhoods, especially sidewalk maps.

I am Ezugwu, Victor Chukwuma. A Nigerian and graduate of the University of Nigeria where I read Geoinformatics and Surveying. The pioneer team leader Lionmappersteam Enugu Campus of the University of Nigeria. I became a member of the OSM community in 2016. I was introduced to HOT and it’s activities the same year.

HOT is an international non govermental and humanitarian organization dedicated to reaching and assisting everyone in the globe despite their location through mapping and humanitarian activities. HOT ensures openness, transparency and discipline in carrying out it’s activities

HOT is also committed to making impact locally through local mapping of various communities by it’s members and as well as reaching out to places with disasters such as floods by creating tasks which the members of the community can map and such mapping sessions are well validated.

I appreciate the HOT management for the opportunity to be nominated as a voting member. I hope to grow the activities of HOT/OSM in my country and beyond if elected a voting member and as well participate more effectively in HOT activities.

A useful call-back for me today from Wendy Conibear at the GIS Team in Nottingham City Council (many thanks, Wendy).

Like most cities in the UK, the City of Nottingham is a Unitary Authority (a government measure enacted in 1992 which removed the former multi-tier arrangement of Parish/District/County Councils and which in OSM has led to multiple holes in the administrative map, since no-one can agree how to drag UK admin mapping into the 21st Century) (40% of all UK parishes are Unitary Authorities, which means that they do not appear on the map as there is no accepted mapping for them; that is a dumb position to allow to occur).

Now with the weather cooling off in Lesotho, and armchair mapping becoming more of a necessity than a choice I am thinking of hitting the #MapLesotho mapping with a large number of edits. My node contribution is approaching 5 million and this weather will grant me an opportunity to increase the edits and reach my goal. It is true I map everyday but I haven’t had an intense mapping in a while and I intend to crack my record.

There is a big need of improved mapping in Lesotho in areas such as Leribe and Maseru and using the data we realised that this districts have pockets of unmapped places. I therefore plan to hit the grid and tackle those because the idea is to have the whole country completely and perfectly mapped. Thus making open-source data readily available for use by different offices or individuals.

The OpenStreetMap payment: tag allows mappers to tag stores that accept certain payment methods (cash, debit and credit cards, etc.). Currently, the wiki only accepts those payment methods, so now I decided to introduce new ones in Indonesia.

What’s new?

First, let me introduce five new tags: three of them are dedicated to Indonesia’s newly-established GPN (Gerbang Pembayaran Nasional, literally National Payment Gateway). Currently it is a debit card switching network, similar to that of VISA and MasterCard (Maestro). Here, I propose payment:gpn_debit to be used in all merchants accepting GPN debit cards.

The Indonesian government has plans to replace existing payment networks in Indonesia with GPN, so does with credit cards and mobile wallets (e.g. Apple Pay and Google Pay). I am proposing payment:gpn_credit and payment:gpn_qris to be reserved for later use. The latter refers to the QR Indonesian Standard (QRIS) payment, similar to the SGQR system in Singapore.

The rest of these tags are payment:akulaku and payment:grabpay, reserved for Akulaku Pay and GrabPay. Both payment systems are currently used in multiple countries across Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, GrabPay has merged to Indonesian digital wallet app OVO, so merchants using OVO-GrabPay QR code sticker (see below) should be tagged with payment:grabpay=yes and payment:id_ovo=yes.

well take it I shouldn’t be here since I don’t see how this site is going to be of any help to me im sorry I some how ended up here while going through blogs on websites and apps to meet and make new friends, well im here, thanks google.

3 x Recording Studios, Hipster Art Galleries inside an old warehouse, a hack-space (3d-printing, computers, carpentry + lathes, available for all but oh! so secret, invitation only) and so on & on, all in one day - you will perhaps understand why I've the Council has coined the name The Creative Quarter†.

After a little backfill the day began with a single block, in which the first buildings were (what appears to be) a closed-down Persian-cuisine restaurant + the first Recording Studio.

Pistachio seems to be closed, and I suspect that the 5 flats above it are unused as well.
