Dear users NaufalFarras and Gaung Tebono,

I am blocking you both for one week for edit warring over road classifications in Indonesia.

NaufalFarras, you have been a mapper for over 5 years, and you know perfectly well that you shouldn’t be engaging in edit wars, yet you still chose to do so (instead of reaching out to the community or the DWG). You even labeled your changesets “edit war”. This is not acceptable.

Gaung Tebono, you have twice been blocked for trying to push through your viewpoint. In your recent changesets you claim that a discussion has been held that the outcome would support your mapping, yet the “discussion” is very young and no consensus has been found on the community forum. You must wait until the community clearly agrees with a road reclassification before you execute it. I will now revert your road re-classifications (where this has not already been done) and should you repeat these edits after the block is over and before a broad consensus is found in the community, I will block your account for longer.

Note: I expect you to discuss your concrete steps with the community before you act. Don’t say “ah, the community has agreed on X, therefore I can change all these roads from A to B” - instead first send a message to the forum asking for confirmation that it is ok to reclassify the roads from A to B.
