This changeset deletes practically the whole street network of the village, even though the streets are clearly visible on aerial imagery. Since no explanation is given for the deletion in the changeset comment ("#hotosm-project-53961 #2026_LATAM_Mapaton #mapathones_vulnerables #TomTomCares" does not say why the deletion was warranted), I am reverting this changeset fully. If you delete large amounts of data from OSM, please explain why in the changeset comment. You may use English or the language locally spoken, but do use natural language and not hashtags. They are not a good way of communicating with humans.

In this changeset you have deleted over 200 buildings without giving a reason. None of the word salad "#hotosm-project-53829 #2026_LATAM_Mapaton #mapathones_vulnerables #TomTomCares" tells us why you performed these deletions. Were the buildings incorrectly mapped, have they been destroyed in the mean time? Most of the buildings you deleted were added less than a year ago, in a project called "#hotosm-project-29145 #2025_MH_PER_MapatonNacional #mapathones_vulnerables #TomTomCares" - which mistakes were made in 2025 so that you now have to cancel the work done back then, and can whoever organises these Mapathons learn from these mistakes?

Dear robmrt, can you explain how, as a new user, you have uploaded something like 40,000 features in one go with JOSM? Among them sidewalks mapped as area relations and many other complex things. Is this the result of an undocumented import or have you just had a very long editing session in JOSM that you uploaded after many days?

It would have been good if SyrupMap had given their reasons in this public discussion (or on the relevant OSM community forum) rather than in private messages. The topics aren't new and there are many reasons why we map what is on the ground, no matter if it is "legal" or not; the OSM community has created their own detailed reasoning here: osm.wiki/Why_can%27t_I_delete_this_trail%3F

I would have been able to point SyrupMap to this from the start had the changeset comment indicated why this deletion was made. If you do delete a trail from OSM, explain why the trail has ceased to exist (or never existed in the first place).

Dear kazuzu, you are adding a large number of buildings. Please state the source for these additions. If you have personally surveyed these buildings, simply put "source=survey". If you are using a third-party data source, specificy that source. Since you are adding the number of levels to each building, it does not seem likely that you are just adding them from imagery?

OSM uploads are not approved by anybody, you dump them into the database and it is quite possible that nobody notices for years. So the fact that nobody complains doesn't mean your data or process is good. If you check the community forum you will find that people propose uploads all the time, and there will often be constructive discussion about data sources and how to convert to OSM and how to conflate with existing data - a process that generally leads to much more quality in data imports (and also to the cancellation of some import plans).

Dear Waterbuffalo26, the tagging "amenity=place_of_worship" and "building=yes" is correct, but "name=Hopi Kiva" is not correct. The name field is intended for situations in which a building actually has a name (typically that name would be on a sign outside and unambiguously identify the building). So that if someone says "I am going to the Hopi Kiva in Lower Moenkopi" everyone knows where this is.

What you have done here is using "descriptive names" - these buildings are not named "Hopi Kiva", this describes what they are. But we would not tag "name=Supermarket" on a supermarket or "name=Filling Station" on a gas station - these are descriptions. Put these in a "description" tag or research if you can find a "religion" tag that is appropriate.

Also please do not use the "#YOUTHMAPPERS" tag. If you must use hashtags, there's a special field for hashtags when you upload data.

Please do not record individual trees as small round "forests" like way/1531728229 - this is incorrect. Use nodes tagged "natural=tree" instead.

Hello there, please review this contribution. You apparently intended to map a Flock camera, but instead you mapped an unspecified thing with a name of "manufacturer=Flock Safety".

Any import into OpenStreetMap from third-party data sources needs to go through a community vetting process and requires documentation on the wiki. See osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines for details. It appears that this import is not complete, but if it were it seems that you're duplicating some data that is already there and some of your "offshore rocks" are actually inland. The "imports must be discussed beforehand" requirement is there precisely to avoid such mistakes.

OpenStreetMap does not record what some law says; OpenStreetMap records the names used by people on the ground. You can't just go around and invent new names just because you think the old names are against the law! In the future when you change a name, please provide proof that the new name is actually used by the people on the ground who live there.

If you change the name of something from "Florian Street" to "Florian Avenue", you can delete the "name_1=Florian Avenue", we don't need to duplicate that. Also in cases like this, consider doing some "TIGER cleanup" by dropping the "tiger_reveiwed=no" and the other TIGER tags as appropriate.

Please fix them. Also, please use proper changeset comments (in this case a good changeset comment might have been "change West Chicago Street to Road" or so).

First: There are special tags that you would use if you map different overlaying parts of a building. Please read up on building mapping. Overlapping building=yes objects is not the correct way to do it, and even less so for someone who accuses others of lack of accuracy!

Second: You claim you used aerial imagery, but aerial imagery does NOT let you determine these three different parts of the building. How did you do it? What data source did you use for that?

In changeset/183887756 you renamed this place from "Димитрова" to "Магістраль", and now to "Мотор". What is your data source for these renamings, and other renamings that you have done recently?
