You certainly can, adding a things from a personal survey is the gold standard in OSM. Just use a source tag of 'survey' or similar words. You do not have to justify it like you do with wikipedia.

You should use the highway type based on what you see on the ground, many rights of way follow tracks or service roads although if it is entirely new it is fine to map as footway or bridleway and improvements can be made later.

In England and Wales we use the designation tag to indicate the legal status of a right of way, i.e. designation=public_footpath/public_bridleway/restricted_byway. You should be able to find this by looking at the signs or from the colour of the waymark arrows.

osm.wiki/Access_provisions_in_the_United_Kingdom will give you some pointers.

In OSM names are used for the actual name of an object. In this case the name of this footpath is not Offa's Dyke Path but it is part of the long distance path. Long distance routes are mapped as relations and this path is already part of relation/9649

It is also part of The Severn Way relation/112738

I hav corrected the syntax for the collection times. In the editor if you click i next to the value it will guide you to the explanation of how to add them. Basically two letter day code and 24 hour clock time.

What do you mean by Postcode Directory?

Please remember that postcode are copyright and we have to be squeaky clean about only using opendata sources. We are absolutely not allowed to copy from Royal Mail.

Please stop duplicating information that is already mapped. The university details are already on the campus object. There is no need to duplicate that information on the building.
Also rather than delete the newsagent it is better to change it to disused:shop=newsagent, this stops it rendering but preserves the history when the premises become something else.

This edit has gone a little wrong.

The leisure centre tags were already mapped on the campus object and in this edit you have duplicated them on the building and in so doing have lost the building object.

Hi, in cases like this you should split the building into two, or provide two nodes. 58-60 should only be used where it is a single point occupying two addresses.
