Hello PharmaWP
Phil from the Data Working Group
Please be careful and review entries suggested by iD for wikidata tags. Blindly following them is effectively an undiscussed mechanical edit.

For example node/1359479838/history/6 is not part of brand:wikidata=Q133280052. Castle is one of the most common pub names in the country and the name does not indicate that they belong to a chain.

Hello Phil
Phil from the Data Working Group here.

I am going to echo what gurglypipe has asked you to do, but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Please follow osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct and osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines

It would be a good idea to discuss these edits with the UK community.

Above all please slow down. It is natural for mappers to want to check edits in their area but when automated edits produce vast amounts of dats this can prove overwhelming.

We are all volunteers but some of us have more or less time than others.

Cheers Phil

Hello JBible92
Phil from The Data Working Group here. For the avoidance of doubt we cannot use Google Maps as a source in OSM, not to check, verify or justify an edit.
The correct nane is what is on the sign, not what someone has told you. If you are being guided as you appear to be then please ensure that you are following https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Organised_Editing_Guidelines

Cheers Phil
