I kind of feel like we’re getting off-topic. These are all niche cases, at least when it comes to Karlova Ves, or Petrzalka, and can be dealt with individually.

And frankly, some of them probably deserve a discussion in the international mapper community, not here.

I meant “closest for 1 to 4” at the beginning of my previous post, sorry.

The closest for 1 to 5 is probably landuse=flowerbed, although I struggle how to tag similar decorative areas which have bushes instead of flowers.

5 seems like a perfect fit for natural=meadow, while 6 is something betweeen natural=grassland and natural=heath (it’s still just grass-type plants, although overgrown, but no bushes)

Once you decide to go ahead, let me know, I’ll help, there are several “parks” near me that I’ve been itching to change to grass areas. :)

I’m all for replacing most of leisure=park with landuse=grass. It’s been a thorn in my eye for a while now, mostly while mapping around Karlova Ves, exactly for reasons you state - they’re not really parks.

Using natural=tree_group seems like a good idea, I was not aware of this tag.
