The logic is as follows:

* Fuel is dispensed by an automated fuel dispenser.
* In most cases, the customer refuels the vehicle themselves.
* The shop attendant mainly accepts payment and authorizes fuel dispensing.
* The dispenser itself remains the device that actually dispenses the fuel.
* The payment:cashier=yes tag indicates that payment is made at the cashier inside the nearby shop, rather than directly at the dispenser.

I understand that payment:cashier=yes is not currently a documented OSM tag. I am using it intentionally as an additional descriptive tag. It does not conflict with the existing tagging scheme, and applications that do not recognize it will simply ignore it.

I am not suggesting that this should become an official OSM standard. It is simply a practical mapping approach for a type of fuel facility that is very common in Indonesia but is not currently well represented by the existing tagging scheme.

Yes, RON that was my mistake. I have already corrected my template, so all future edits will use the correct tags. Thank you for pointing it out.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to JOSM at the moment, so I can’t easily find and correct the hundreds of objects I have already mapped. I will fix them if I have the opportunity in the future.

Usually I add POIs using quick-action buttons in OsmAnd while riding, and later in the evening I review and improve them.

At the time of mapping I usually don’t record the exact name or accommodation type, so later I cannot always verify whether it was a hotel, motel, guest house or homestay.

Because of that, my default quick-action used tourism=motel. After your comment I changed my default template, and now I use tourism=guest_house instead until I can verify the exact accommodation type.

Petroshop is exactly a petramina gas station, not a petromini (private POM)

I wasn't supposed to be testing OSM, but rather the rendering in the navigation app. It wasn't bothering anyone there. Please put it back; I'll delete it myself in a couple of days.

I'm sorry, but I added all these pois while driving a motorcycle. There is no way to rip out a specific brand. I marked network gas stations as brand, and private gas stations with a different name. This is enough to select in the search. I don't have the ability to track the names of several hundred gas stations that I added a year ago.

New Road!

146535998

Hey. This is a new road. Why did you cut it up again?

137139889

Of course, you can do as you see fit.
I was just trying to show you a road that is not accessible to cars.

Right now I don't remember this road anymore :(
Many thousands of edits have passed since then :)

I could mark this road as a bicycle because its width is not enough for a car.

this is a single-track road that is not accessible by car. This is not a special bike path for walking.

The second site you're talking about is marked as bare ground and very_horible. If your bike allows it, you can ride :)

I have already introduced several hundred new points as "vending machine fuel", and changed several hundred "drummed fuel" and "minipump".

Why is there no general solution? - YOU can't call a drum-barrel like a gas station!

140498897

Good. I'm not sorry. Let it be any :)
I rely on the established practice of this region. Usually all such roads have a track or unclass label

140656772

In this place I tried to show that osmand has an error in the search - if you try to find vending fuel, it finds all vending (not only fuel)

140656772

The fuel vending machine is not a separate column at a gas station.
In Thailand, most car refueling locations are independent single vending machines (with or without an operator). As well as barrel drums (with an operator).

Now they all have tag amenity:fuel, which is misleading and does not allow you to conveniently find a brand gas station that has normal quality, price and quantity of fuel.

What was discussed on this issue?

140285944

It is a pity if another person does not see the description of this road and tries to drive there :(

140656772

Yes. I'm sorry, but I need this to decide how to designate a vending machine = fuel.
Osmandmaps either does not show a vending machine for finding fuel. Or it shows all the machines (for example, water in the same way).

Now there are a lot of vending machines or barrels drums are designated as a fuel station. This is very wrong!

140498897

But why?
1) this transit road differs from other unclassified ones in that it connects different cities.
2) this road has a number, which is rare for unclassifiable roads.
