Hello! I noticed that node node/9026306734 was moved a long distance in this changeset. This is a common mistake that happens when you click on a point and drag to move the map. The point moves with your mouse instead of the map.

I moved things back to where they were before in changeset/179979927, so no harm done!

To avoid this in the future:
- Try to click on an empty part of the map when you want to move around
- If you see a point move by mistake, press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo it

Happy mapping!

Thanks, pitscheplatsch. The code I'm running to detect these node drags also generates a template for me to use when commenting, and it was using the wrong node IDs. Thanks for letting me know. I fixed the system so it should be giving the correct IDs now.

Hi, what criteria did you use to change this road's classification?

Hi! It looks like a node in this changeset was accidentally moved. This can happen when panning the map. The node has been moved back to its previous position.

If you hold shift and reload (a "hard reload") in your browser it should clear up.

Of the two "Moreyoga" icons that were on the map, the further north one came from the building shape (way/171298981). I resolved that by removing the tags related to Moreyoga from the building shape. Now it's just a plain old building instead of a building and a yoga studio. Thanks for putting Moreyoga in the right spot!

Sorry for not making it clear. The issue occurs when panning the map editor. When you click and drag intending to move the map, it is easy to accidentally click and drag a point instead of clicking the map background. When a point is moved accidentally, it leads to a "spike" in the shapes connected to it.

To avoid this, pay attention to where you click when you want to move the map, and if you see a shape move instead of the map moving, click the undo button (or use the control+Z keyboard shortcut) to undo that action before continuing to move the map.

I should note that issues like this are easy to spot and quick to fix. You're not doing anything wrong, and should continue to enjoy mapping! I only pointed it out so that you can keep an eye out for it in the future.

node/1269874928 and node/1066767980

It's fairly easy to do this by mistake when panning the map in the iD editor. You have to make sure you're not accidentally clicking on points while panning.
