| 113676288 | I've been mapping for 15 years myself, so I can appreciate the effort that you're taking here. I'm sure you also know how difficult it is to look back at the history of deleted OSM objects, so it would be great to re-use existing features so that you don't remove history of existing work on a map feature, especially when it comes to important features like major roads. I know that iD makes it easier to delete and remap, but the little bit of extra effort to improve existing features is really helpful. Anyway, continue enjoying mapping and have a great evening!

| 113676288 | Please try to improve the existing roads instead of deleting and re-mapping them. This is important because you're removing the history of the existing roads, but you might also be breaking data (like highway relations or bus routes) that rely on those existing roads.
