Agreed, it was front page news on õhtuleht last weekend. Also i did this change because there was gap on zverik's cycling map, but looking at most ways' history he has already visited those non-cycleways. Maybe to revert the change, idk for now.
Btw looks like some but not all crossing barriers have tiny sign prohibiting cycling. https://mapillary.com/map/im/477394670029952 Järvevana crosing doesn't have these signs on either side of roads.

Fixed 3 rivers in Jan Mayen (changeset/182733700) and Grande Terre (changeset/182735161) using overpass query:

[out:json][timeout:180];
way(user:"fghj753")(newer:"2026-02-16T00:00:00Z")["waterway"]->.user_waterways;
node(w.user_waterways)->.user_waterway_nodes;
way["natural"="water"](bn.user_waterway_nodes)->.natural_water_touching;
node(w.natural_water_touching)->.natural_water_nodes;
way.user_waterways(bn.natural_water_nodes)->.result;
.result out meta geom;

Hi, i was informed in changeset/181469346 that swinging benches like node/10033959359 should be rather tagged as bench:type=swing instead of playground=swing . Might be useful to know as there are more such benches appearing across city

181898988

Acknowledged. Since I recently made such changes on multiple small islands, i'd probably need to build some overpass query to find all of them. Hoping to fix that in few weeks.

Added custom preset to editor[1], check out node/10033940556 From mapping perspective looks correct? Found a bug where somewhy bench preset currently appears duplicated.

Undoubtedly, it was quite a challenge to type additional tag with gloves off. There are few benches which instead of having legs, are suspended to a frame using chains. Something like that except wooden: https://www.korkat.com/product/modern-bench-swing/
Can't confirm if leisure=swing is most correct, i was inventing tag on spot. I may have seen similar installation at #map=18/59.442210/24.695994 as well.

i mean, guessed tags from existing name tags

Tere,
Was this change necessary? Normally in OSM, roads should be mapped as separate ways only where there is a physical separator that prevents people from moving from one side to the other. A painted line between the cycle and pedestrian sides does not count as such a separator [1][2].

According to the history of way/50073436, you changed an already segregated shared cycleway into a bicycles-only cycleway [3]. I'd recommend reverting this change, for example by using the revert tool [4].

P.S. In some cases, the whole street may be mapped as a single way, with details such as sidewalks, cycleways, or parking recorded as tags on that way rather than as separate mapped elements [5]. Checking for such tags without a specialised tool (like StreetComplete's overlay) can be rather tedious.

For way/654503344 this changeset restored oneway=yes while removing oneway:bicycle=yes. Considering path is shared with cyclists and pedestrians, shouldn't it be other way around, because current tagging might suggest pedestrians have to follow one-way rules as well?

Routers currently seem to ignore any bycycle-pedestrian tagging differences here and route both cyclists and pedestrians via unusual ways. Only Graphhopper's bicycle routing currently makes sense.

I'm not the original mapper, but could you clarify, what source should have been used instead considering this change added wikimedia_commons=* and image=* tags?

Tervist,
1) Selle muudatuse käigus on Pelgulinna Selveri pakiautomaadist node/13183712238 saanud Ehte 10 garaaži nurgakivi. Tavaliselt juhtub see siis, kui kaardi lohistamisel haarata kogemata mõnest juba kaardil olevast objektist.
2) Mul on pisut kahtlusi selle osas, mille nimi peaks olema Putukaväil. Kas see on konkreetne jalgtee way/1414701196, park node/13196189853, pargiala relation/7752107 või midagi muud.

Hetkel katab park vaid poole 1.4km pikkusest kergliiklusteest.

Looks good.

Seems to be just this changeset. You could try out https://revert.monicz.dev/
Aitäh

Living street (õueala) is a very specific legal term that must be signed by sign 573 [1]. In OSM it's tagged as highway=living_street.
If it's an ordinary residential area (usually denoted by sign 351 & 132 [2,3]), then usually tag highway=residential should be used.
Currently looks like only potential living streets could be area around Siidisaba - Tebre - Nepi, untouched by this changeset. Since all modified roads in area were previously residential, proposing to revert this changeset.

Judging by wiki page suggesting direction=forward/backward tags, maybe the speed display should be connected to road it displays speed to? highway=speed_display

Tere,
Oled joonistanud LTKH ümbrusesse kaks rada, mis paistavad viivat ei kuhugi: way/1457010072 ja way/1457010408
Mainisid muudatuses, et kasutasid GPS-rada. Sa ju ei pööranud ümber seal kohas, kus rada lõppeb, vaid ikka jätkasid edasi?
Teed ja rajad eksisteerivad tavaliselt eesmärgiga viia inimesi ühest kohast teise, seega enamasti tasub OSMis kaardistades pigem teha rada pisut pikem ja ühendada see olemasoleva teedevõrguga. Siis oskaks tulevikus navigaatorid neid radu kasutada.
Jalgraja way/1457010072 idapoolne ots paistab, et võiks lõppeda seal, kus praegugi, aga 68/1 kõrvalolev tee võiks pikeneda ümber maja nurga ning way/1457010408 võiks ühenduda parkla ülemise tee külge.

PS. iD editoris on olemas eraldi sildikomplektid jalgtee, rada ja mitteametlik rada (footway, path, informal path). Kuna nendevahelised erinevused on pisut ähmased, siis ma ei saa kindlalt öelda, milline õigeim oleks.
