Hallo Dani

Raphael

[^1]: public_transport=platform
[^2]: local_ref=* "However, it is much more common to use ref=* instead [...]"

Salut!

Salve!

Thanks for your reply and please excuse my somewhat harsh reaction on the mailing list. I thought that it was clear that mapping buildings at their ground walls were common practice—and therefore i was a bit annoyed by the fact that you've modified them to include the roofs—but it seems that this is not clear (which i think is a pity). Therefore i will refrain from partially reverting your edit.

Thanks and happy mapping to you too,
Raphael

Hi!

I've remarked that you changed many building=* areas from the floor plan to the outline of the roof—sometimes even including awnings. However, the common practice is to map building=* areas at the ground if possible.

Cheers,
Raphael

Gruss, Raphael

Hi jce70!

Thanks for trying to help fixing errors. However, please note that not everything iD or any error detecting tool suggest is correct. Error detecting tools should not be trusted blindly and their suggestions should always be checked. For example in the case of Coop City Ryfflihof (relation/9418656) the suggested change from supermarket to department store was wrong.

Best regards

Hi! There aren't any tram crossings here: changeset/137890581. The tram tracks run parallel to the road.

Hallo Zolloo

Gruss

Hi and thanks for your reply!

The wiki says '*some physical outline of the pitch or* painted line markings'. Besides, the corresponding Wikipedia article states: 'The field of play generally includes out-of-bounds areas that a player is likely to enter while playing a match [...]'.

But i think we should discuss this with more people (if it hasn't already done) - on the Swiss mailing list and/or on the tagging mailing list.

> I would like to take the topic of tennis even further and consider drawing an area with leisure=sports_centre around the individual pitches.

If i'm not mistaken, a sports centre is a facility where several sports are practiced. A tennis facility isn't a sports centre. But it may make sense to create a new tag for (named) sport facilities.

Thanks for your prompt reply! I'm aware that the artworks are not rendered anymore, but this is a problem of OSM-Carto and shouldn't lead us to change the mapping of another object in my opinion. (If we would map the meadows, this would make them appear again, but still only indirectly.)

As haven't fully reverted your edit, the problem with the wrong relation roles hasn't reappeared. (But there are some other artwork multipolygons in Bern that are faulty.)

Hi SekeRob
The art installations (yurts) are inside the park and thus belong to the park. If one excludes them from the multipolygon with inner roles, they don't belong to the park anymore. This is why i re-added them to the park area.
Kind regards

Cordiali saluti,
Raphael

PS: As far as i can remember, all the mapped tennis courts i came across were drawn in such a way that they also included the area between the baselines or sidelines and the fence. I think this makes sense because when you play tennis you are not only inside the lines.

134724714

Hi!

I've noticed that you have reduced 2058 tennis courts in the whole of Switzerland to the markings (lines). Was this agreed with the community somewhere?

Kind regards
Raphael
