On another note: Do you know if there is an online group or similar where people mapping in Iceland discuss? I started a thread about unmarked hiking routes in Iceland on the OSM forum and would be interested to hear the opinions of local mappers.

Thank you for updating Hringvegur at Hornafjörður! I just wanted to do this, but you were faster. Did you deliberately not add toll=yes? As you probably know, this new section of Hringvegur will become a toll road on 1 September 2026. [1]

By the way, how did you find out that the old Hringvegur at Hornafjörður is now route 987? Is it already signed as such? I couldn't find any information online. (On umferdin.is, the old road is still labelled '1', and i couldn't find a more recent edition of Vegaskrá than 2025.

Weshalb änderst du bei meinen Edits payment:swisspass zu payment:swiss_pass?

Die Karte heisst Swisspass (bzw. offiziell SwissPass, siehe https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swisspass), weshalb payment:swisspass=* logisch wäre (analog zu authentication:swisspass=*).

Ich konnte weder im Wiki, noch im Forum oder auf der Mailingliste einen Hinweis finden, dass payment:swiss_pass zu bevorzugen sei. Ohne Diskussion finde ich solche (halb)automatischen Änderungen nicht gut.

Dams (waterway=dam) are built across a river to dam it up, which doesn't seem to be the case here. Maybe there is a man_made=dyke or a wall=flood_wall here?

I noticed that you mapped sidewalks as separate ways beside the road, although the sidewalks in this area were already mapped as tags on the roads (sidewalk)=*. In my opinion, switching from one tagging scheme to another should only be done in justified cases and should be discussed with the community beforehand. Furthermore, sidewalks that are recorded twice, that are mapped only on one side of the street, or that are not connected to pedestrian crossings offer no added value.

There's another clearance shop chain in Switzerland called Otto's which has a broader range of products. In addition to the product categories sold by Stokomani, Otto's also sells food and drink, furniture, electronic devices, and larger home appliances (such as fridges or ovens).

Stokomani is a clearance shop, that is, a shop that sells overstock, discontinued or liquidation brand-name merchandise at heavily discounted prices. This is different from a variety store, which sells cheap, rather low-quality, unbranded products, often at one or several fixed price points.

Der Katasterplan des Kantons Bern wäre hilfreich, um OSM zu verbessern. Ich zögere jedoch, ihn zu verwenden, weil wir dafür offenbar keine ausdrückliche Erlaubnis haben. (Opendata alleine genügt ja nicht. Der Herausgeber muss auch zustimmen, dass er lediglich auf osm.wiki/Contributors erwähnt wird.)

Danke fürs Abarbeiten der fixme-Tags und fürs Einzeichnen des Schulprovisoriums.
Welchen Katasterplan Bern verwendest du? Wir haben doch nur den der Stadt Bern und des Kantons Neuchâtel. Oder ist das Wiki (osm.wiki/Switzerland/Datasources) nicht aktuell?
(Dass auf der amtlichen Vermessung der Stadt Bern praktisch der gesamte Kanton abgebildet war, ist ja schon lange nicht mehr der Fall.)

Hier befindet sich nirgends ein Caritas Markt, weshalb ich ihn wieder gelöscht habe. Der Caritas Markt in Bern befindet sich an der Könizstrasse 19a, wo er bereits eingezeichnet ist.

Danke für den Hinweis. Ja, in dem Fall passt motor_vehicle=private am besten. Allerdings müsste way/25695282/ meines Erachtens eher highway=service anstatt highway=track sein, da es sich nicht um einen (Land-/Forst)wirtschaftsweg handelt.
