The new classification guidelines are based on importance, not how they are built. Other mappers came together and developed the following guidelines for Massachusetts:

MassGIS F-Class 2 = highway=trunk
MassGIS F-Class 3 = highway=primary
MassGIS F-Class 5 = highway=secondary

The second link I provided is the MassGIS database which has this route designated as functional classification 2.

A functional classification 2 (principal arterial) is considered a trunk road in Massachusetts. Fenway and Park Drive are F class 2.

Hello, looks like you used outdated imagery. Parcel 12 was just completed with new road and sidewalk layouts. These were already mapped.

It’s under international equivalence, scroll down to United States. Soldiers Field Road was originally tagged as a trunk road however another editor changed it to primary. He told me that it doesn’t qualify as a trunk road based on the criteria under international equivalence.

This is standard practice, look at Soldiers Field Road west of Eliot Bridge.

According to OSM definition, a trunk road in the US in a densely populated area is a road that connects a trunk road to a motorway or another trunk road. In this case North Shore Road simply ends at Lynnway, which is a primary road. In order to prevent walking directions from using this road, it should be tagged as “foot=no”.

North Beacon is US 20.

East section does not terminate at beacon. It ends at I93 on ramps. West side of SFR ends at US 20. This means it is not a stub.
