Oh, I'm very sorry, I misunderstood, and was frustrated that I couldn't find where I removed a street name. It was self frustration. Hopefully that doesn't just happen to me.

A blind person would break their leg if walking on this sidewalk. A wheelchair would get stuck. A bike needs MTB tires and a road bike has to walk it. I have been on it, with my own feet, and my own bike. Had company once, and they had to walk their road tire commuter bike. I didn't know that I removed a street name, wasn't intentional. But this sidewalk should be avoided if a person doesn't have good footwear.

Oklahoma City recently put a bike lane moratorium in place at city council. In January or February. I don't think they really care about my request for something that they only have partial control over.

It's not a city cycleway at either end. It connects a casino/racetrack on one end to a pay to enter softball complex on the other end. It's gated, with a lock and 2 meter/6' fence to prevent access when there are no events happening. When there are events, there's security limiting public access. It's Chicasaw casino property, not Oklahoma City, except where it's in the easement, which is a very short distance.

When you go up to it on a bicycle, it looks like a multiuse path, separated bike path. I spoke to some of the people associated with the two facilities though, asking why it's always locked. They explained it's not a public path, but a shuttle trail for parking lot shuttle.

I have a picture of the state of the entrance, but I don't see how to put it here. I can hit on Telegram, if needed.
|
There is a gate that was open, but a "No Trespassing" sign in plain view. The last time I was on the road, a few sections were barely still paved (years ago). Kirkpatrick Foundation recently acquired it and put the huge gate up on the Lincoln end and the sign at NW 50th. I put my eyes on it, not from satellite imagery.
