| 185950225 | Morning, Firstly, thank you for all coming to the party. Yes, I came on strong here because it's a highly frustrating situation. The email I have been sending to is Support@openstreetmap.org I kept getting Thomas, who wasn't able to assist. Please note that whilst Petrio Road technically is a public road, it leads to a dead end; that road is for local residents only. Happy to give that a miss. The bicentennial trail is not public https://nationaltrail.com.au/ Please contact Nick Valintine; he is the board member whom we have notified that we do not consent to the trail running through our property. "Private landowners are not legally forced to give access; passage on the Bicentennial National Trail (BNT) through private property relies entirely on voluntary, negotiated agreements between landowners and the trail organization." Nick can be emailed nickovalentino@yahoo.com
Interms of the other property that runs through my property which I have zigzagged in the wrong spot called "Private Track No access) on the other side of the camp ground needs to be remove it is only marked by the EPA as per the 2014 Spacial map. I have confirmed with historical maps, lawyers, registered fire trails and my lot it is not an easment, crownland or right of passage. I will leave you alone if you can just remove the two tracks at the bottom of the campground please. Thank you kindly |

| 185950225 | Hi newv, Thank you for the detailed reply. This is genuinely the most useful response I have received on this issue, and I appreciate you taking the time to engage properly with it. On the boundary relations: I want to clarify my position here. I have engaged a local licensed surveyor, who has overlaid current OSM mapping against historic survey and government mapping records for this property. That overlay shows the OSM boundary data for relation/6063595 (Jeogla) and relation/6063654 (Lower Creek) does not match the historic and government-recorded boundaries. My edits were an attempt to correct the track through my property, and if that disturbed the relations, I am happy to work with you to resolve it properly, but I want to flag that the underlying OSM boundary data itself may need review against the survey records, not just be restored to its prior state by default. I am happy to share the surveyor's overlay with you if that is useful. On the tracks tagged access=private: I understand that is the correct tag in principle, but in practice it is not achieving what it is meant to. The apps directing people onto my property, including Strava, Komoot, AllTrails, and others via newtracks, do not appear to be respecting that tag. They are routing 4X4 drivers, motorbike riders, and walkers directly through the property regardless. As a direct result, three separate gates have been driven through and destroyed by 4X4 vehicles, and approximately 300 metres of fencing has been damaged by trail bikes. In response, we have revoked the Bicentennial National Trail's access; they are no longer permitted to cross the property. That path must be removed. But i do not have the power to do so. I have also raised this directly with the platforms themselves, and each has pointed back to OSM as the source of the routing data. At this point, everyone involved, the apps and now OSM via this thread, is aware that this is private land with no public right of way, that it is clearly signed as such (30+ private property signs), and that the track should not be published. I want to be upfront rather than simply frustrated: I have made approximately 15 attempts to contact OSM by email with no response, which is why I am raising it here instead. I am not attaching any blame to you personally; you are the first person who has actually engaged with this properly. But given how long this has been unresolved, and the damage that has already occurred, I want it on record that I consider OSM formally on notice as of this thread. We also conduct active pest control, including licensed shooting, and biosecurity management on this land, Any trespass on the land poses a huge biosecurity issue which makes uncontrolled public access a genuine safety risk, not simply an inconvenience. Its our private land signed and you are signing people into it with no approval...illegally. I would strongly prefer to resolve this without involving lawyers, but I want to be clear that it remains an option if the track stays published and further trespass or property damage occurs. I am asking, formally, for these tracks to be removed from my property. Thank you again for engaging properly with this. |

| 185950225 | Hi there, This is my private property which is incorrectly marked. I have been told by newtracks, Strava, Kamoot, Alltrails etc to make these changes. The Bicentennial National Trail has been notified that they are no longer allowed to access the property. I have tried to email your team OSM about 16 times in the last few montsh without reply. Please remove the tracks as you are pushing people onto my private property, which is a safety and severe biosecurity issue. |
