@yurasi Any thoughts about this? As you suggest it'd make sense to revert the deletions here.

43019588

@Maanya This just looks like a doodle to me, so I've reverted it. Personally if I haven't received a reply from a mapper in a couple of weeks I'd assume that they are either ignoring the message or (likely in this case as no further edits) they've never seen it. If you ever wonder what to do next with things like this there are a few things you can do - you can try asking on IRC in #osm - someone there will surely be able to offer advice. You could try contacting a different local mapper or adding a note, or emailing the DWG on data@osmfoundation.org if you think it needs DWG attention or you just need advice.

Andy (from the Data Working Group)

@http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/manoharuss_imports given that the user here is new (15 edits since October) and there's something visible on the Bing imagery where the river is supposed to be, and there's been no response here, I'd be tempted to undeleted the river and look at the user's other contributions to see what else they might have deleted by mistake. Also, a message with a Spanish translation might be better.

Andy

Is "Rillington Place 10" really a tourist attraction, and is it here? node/4516194593

Hi,
Just for info, I've deleted the Hambleton Village Halls here, as it's a duplicate of one that already existed.
Cheers,
Andy

44308428

It's also a duplicate (same mapper) of node/4548245699 .

Isn't "Shop 'n' Drive" the convenience store brand used by Esso?

44465928

You may not be aware, but when you edit OpenStreetMap you're editing a map that everyone can see, not just your personal copy. Please do continue editing, but please do only add things that are verifiable on the ground. If you want to add a personal bookmark to MAPS.ME you can - just select the thing that you want to bookmark and select "menu" and then "bookmark".

As requested, I've deleted this.

44494285

I'm guessing that it's a duplicate of node/410268974 , actually.

Hi,
Any reason for the deletion of way/345706648/history in here?

Andy

@BCNorwich http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/kLz finds couple of nodes created in changeset/44483642 - that probably needs looking at to see what joins were created there.

Hello,
You've merged together various "estate_agents", "estate_agency" etc. in here. I can see the logic in this, except that you've ignored the main tag of "shop" or "office" and made them all "office". I've certainly used both "shop" and "office" for estate agents, depending on whether the thing was more of a shop or an office. In the UK, depending on the chain you may get estate agents that look both a bit like a shop and a bit like an office, that look just like an office, and (increasingly) have no back-office functions there at all and are really just shops. I'd suggest that these last ones should be tagged shop=estate_agent.
Cheers,
Andy

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
In here you've added node/4509038290 as a tourist attraction, but it looks like it's already there as a railway station just across the railway track. Was that deliberate, or is there really only one of them?
Hope you don't mind me mentioning this, just trying to help. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap.
Is node/4556191294 just someone's house?

Hi,
Andy from the Data Working Group here
A quick question (prompted by another mapper) about http://osm.mapki.com/history/way.php?id=138891352 . As can be seen, you've added a bunch of new tags on there such as "bicycle=yes", lanes=2" and "oneway=no". I know that this was 3 years ago but you're still doing the same e.g. in http://osmhv.openstreetmap.de/changeset.jsp?id=44323817 a few days ago. In the case of way/138891352 I know the road fairly well. I'm not sure what "bicycle=yes" is supposed to mean here since unless otherwise stated bicycle=yes is the case on any unclassfied road in the UK. the same goes for "oneway=no" (sometimes mappers have suggested that adding "oneway=no" makes sense on the exceptions in grid-pattern town centres where most roads are oneway=yes but some are not, but that is not the case here). "lanes=2" is positively misleading - I added a width=3 tag precisely because it was so narrow. You may be able to squeeze 2 cars past each other in places, but not everywhere (you'll notice I mapped the passing place near the pub).
Can you explain the reasoning behind the tagging here?
You can either reply in this changeset discussion or if you'd rather reply by mail you can drop an email to data@osmfoundation.org .

Andy

Hello Namazov,
Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've reverted Nagorno-Karabakh back how it was before you edited it. Please don't make arbitrary politically-motivated changes to country names without wider discussion beforehand. If you have any questions please contact OpenStreetMap's Data Working Group via email on data@osmfoundation.org.
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend, on behalf of the DWG.

Hi Supaplex,
To get the list I downloaded all the changesets from the user concerned, searched for all those that used google.cn imagery and reverted those. I then looked at all the reversions that failed because of subsequent edits and force-reverted those. In changesets such as this one. It was those latter stages that changed more objects I think.
The root problem has been fixed in iD in https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/issues/3623 , and that will hopefully get rolled out onto osm.org soon.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello,
Please don't add test data to the live OpenStreetMap Server. If you want a test server, perhaps http://api06.dev.openstreetmap.org/ would work for you?

Andy
