Hello Taha6831.
Please use changeset comments that explain what you did, not just ".... "
Best Regards,
Andy

Oops! Ignore that. node/308207026 has "name:ca=Eivissa" already, and has had since 2021 or so.

@Falsernet I'd suggest that you survey the area, take photographs and then if you still believe that the local mapping is wrong discuss it, perhaps on the talk-gb mailing list.

What were the errors here that were fixed?

127979353

Hello Falsernet,
Can you please use more meaningful comments than simply "fixed restrictions"? Explain what was wrong before, and why and how you changed it.
Best Regards,
Andy

@Falsernet Aren't we waiting for your photograph from 9 months ago as part of the previous argument about this 9 months ago on changeset/116891119 ?

Please don't continue the edit war here on https://osm.mapki.com/history/way/1083622803 or anywhere in OSM. It is a waste of everyone's time. If you do, you'll be blocked from editing for a short period of time.
- Andy, from the DWG.

Does "Eivissa" belong in name:ca (or some other name tag) here? Perhaps that would help with this name dispute?

127988134

Hello Renas Azad,
Please do try and use changeset comments that explain what it was you actually changed, and not just "set of edits" every time.
It will help everyone else to see what changes you are making.
Best Regards,
Andy

way/1105905009 is clearly not mapped correctly here, as it overlaps some residential housing (it actually cuts through some garages)

127941213

Thanks - I've reverted the others in changeset/127955987 .

There are only 3 nodes here - in Tasmania, the eastern USA and Japan.

At @b-unicycling/history there are > 33,000 edits. I hope that you weren't suggesting that I go through each of those, find edits where a tag you changed or removed was "historic", and analyse what you values you removed or what you changed things from an to? That sounds like a lot of work.
It'd be much easier if you described what you were doing, rather than just used changeset comments like "retagged historic site", as here.

127917439

A problem is that https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/historic#values is updated in real time and doesn't show previous values, so I don't know what you've changed things _from_. I therefore can't go through my code and see what I need to change.

127917439

Hello,
Is there a list anywhere of what values you're changing things from and what values you're changing things to?
Obviously in this particular example node/357329257/history isn't going to affect any downstream consumers, but I suspect that in many cases changes might.
Unfortunately I haven't yet added "key value" granularity to https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/historic#projects for https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/projects/someoneelse_style , so I can't suggest an "easy list" of what I do now, except to point at https://github.com/SomeoneElseOSM/SomeoneElse-style/blob/master/style.lua , but if there's a way to see what is changed to what, I'd definitely look at it.
To be clear, I think that tidying up values such as this one is definitely beneficial - literally no-one is going to understand "historic=202 S.Fulton St." (the previous value).
Best Regards,
Andy

1) There is no such thing as "well-meant vandalism". If an edit was made with good intentions then it was not vandalism.
2) You appear to have made this edit in an attempt to provoke the Ukrainian OSM community, following changeset/127615639 and changeset/127614262 . This is not OK. OpenStreetMap has always been "everyone's local map". Local communities everywhere make decisions about what it is appropriate to map and what it is not to. What I wrote at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/country-based-authorizations/838/20 still applies, including the part about OSM being an "append-only map" - anything that was there is still there, and can be brought back at some later stage.
3) Please immediately undo the changes that you have made that you know goes directly against the local community's wishes.

@Jan Olieslagers : @Spaghetti Monster is correct here. If you're unconvinced, look at the "taginfo" stratistics on aeroway=runway . Only 112 of the 61k runways have been mistagged as areas. If you'd like to "colour in" runway areas then please use another tag to do that; don't use a tag corresponding to the linear runway itself.

@Edelsalami Andy from OSM's Data Working Group here. Thanks for your decision.

Thanks

Hello,
Adding way/1105905753 is clearly not "Making the map more accurate".
What is the source for the other changes here?
Best Regards,
Andy
