For the avoidance of doubt - you have not provided examples here.

That's one small site though - what about the rest of this changeset?

Please explain (here, so that everyone can see).

> which is not the language the post office use for mailing services in this city.

No. You've been told about this before. There is no justification to say that Kirkuk is an Arabic-only city (nor is it a Kurdish-only city). By changing the name from one language to another you're just as bad as the person that you're complaining about.

Hello,
"clean up, revert and delete spam, low quality, duplicated nodes, private maps-me bookmarks, not allowable sources, and fake names/not accurate edits " is a lot of words but does not actual explain what you did.
For example, you deleted this wall way/1095018113/history . Why did you do that? Have you surveyed the place and seen that it does not exist, or is there some other reason why it is obviously incorrect?
Best Regards,
Andy

Can you explain why you changed the name of https://osm.mapki.com/history/way/318764748 here?

126181005

@LockOnGuy can you give an example of an object name that was changed to Kurdish in this changeset please?

126181629

Don't say things like "revert vandal edits by user ڕاستی " in changeset comments, it is extremely unhelpful.
Say what you did, and say why you did it. Let other people judge who are the vandals here.

126236225

I'm sorry, are you waiting for me to say something?

126236225

Please use better changeset comments than just "new".

The point of a natural=mountain_range tag is that it's a rough idea of the location only - precisely because there is no exact extent! There is no area that you can draw with everything inside "part of the Andes" and everything outside "not part of the Andes".

126186929

> and issued a false block on me saying that I changed it from 2 names to one only

You did do that. See https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/2488265639 and https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/9743871725 .

> while the Kurds did that before and after

I'm not seeing any evidence of that on https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/9743871725 . On https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/2488265639 there is a large series of to and fro edits with "each side" putting "their" name in place.

If you believe that these are Arab-majority neighbourhoods that suggests that you believe that there is a minority there too? Given that, having each name:ar and name:ckb and set and a "name" that contains both seems the best way forward.

Also note that exactly the same discussion is happening "the other way around" - I've just reverted https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/2479376280 to restore name:ar etc.

Rather than using changeset comments saying just "تصحيح الحي" ("neighborhood correction") please explain in detail what you changed and why. If you say that "the proportion of XYZ-speakers here is ABC", please link to that information online.

Regardless of whether the "Andes" region should exist or not I'd have thought a "natural=mountain_range" feature is probably better at describing what it is, as a linear feature as noted at natural=mountain_range .

126126047

@Bravo Mapper You have deleted all of the language names for https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/2479376280 here. This is not OK and I will revert it.

A bit more info - https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1lTh is what was deleted. I'm surprised that there doesn't appear to be a long, linear "natural=mountain_range" feature for the "Cordillera de los Andes", but there do not seem to be any: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1lTi .

Saludos,
Andy

Hello, Andy from OSM's Data Working Group here.

> I am from the Argentine community, the change was agreed upon with the Chilean community at the time and had already been eliminated.

Would it be possible to link to where those conversations happened?

> There were lines without content, what I did was delete that.

Maybe it's just a mistranslation, but relation/13723952/history definitely did have content.

It's always difficult to represent very large features like this with detailed relations, ways, and nodes - perhaps a simpler "mountain range line" would have been better?
However, deleting it with a terse "no es precisa" without a link to other discussion seems a bit rude.
Best Regards,
Andy
