Hello TwistaDee,
OpenStreetMap is designed to be a map of the world as it really exists. If you'd like to design an imaginary city, then please use http://opengeofiction.net/ for that (it's exactly the same as OSM, except that it's imaginary).
Alternatively, if you'd like to stay here, why not map some of the parts of your real neighborhood that no-one's added to OSM yet?

Andy Townsend, on behalf of OpenStreetMap's Data Working Group

@karitop - just so you're aware, you're commenting on "numbers as name" on a freeway entered by a user in the middle of _Greenland_ . Let's just say that the semantics of the tagging here is the least of our worries :)

Actually, my concern wasn't that you were copying from Google (please confirm that you aren't), it was that you haven't discussed these changes with the wider OSM communities around the world. Can you please explain what discussion has taken place?

@Carson_gor Can you explain the source of your changes and who you discussed them with? Country names affect everyone - it's basic politeness to ensure that changes to them are discussed and that everyone is happy.

Hello - something went a bit wrong here; you've added these in the middle of the Atlantic!

Hi Rowland,
Something seems to have gone wrong here.
way/507606545 seems to be an almost exact duplicate of way/507606545 (added about 6 years ago). This is not the first time that this has happened (see changeset/49772047 among others).
Can you explain what "created by=Tayberry" means? Presumably it involves "OS OpenMap Local" (based on the source of the object).
Also, it would be really helpful to other mappers to use changeset comments, so that they can understand what you're actually doing here.
Finally, if you're using OS OpenMap Local as a source for buildings, I'm a bit worried - compared to the combination of imagery and survey OS OpenData at least was rubbish; too many buildings were "vaguely rectangular in vaguely the right area" - good enough to say "there is a building here", but no more.
Looking at the underlying imagery and GPS traces here, the buildings you've added such as way/507606544 are clearly offset. Some of the 6 year old stuff e.g. way/66437409 looks just wrong according to the imagery now, so there's clearly a need for an update, but it needs to be done carefully.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello,
As you can see from the orange line around this change on the map at the right when you view the changeset on the OpenStreetMap website, it overlaps with the Atlantic because some data was accidentally added there.
It's been deleted now, but have you any idea how incorrect latitude and longitude values could have got into the data that you added?
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetmap! What exactly is "Fornix locus"?
In OSM, in order for anything, including map renderers, to do anything useful with the data it'll need something to go with the name to say what sort of name it is.
Maybe something at osm.wiki/Beginners'_guide will help?

Andy

Oops - something went a bit wrong here. This school got added in the middle of the Atlantic!

Hello,
Please don't add test data to the live OpenStreetMap Server. If you want a test server, perhaps https://master.apis.dev.openstreetmap.org/ would work for you?

Andy

OK, are you going to revert this, or would you like me to?

50162714

Just for info, it took me 2-3 hours extra last night to to fix up the import in India because of the changes here.

50163638

Please don't do this.
If you don't understand what a tag means, you shouldn't change the value.

Hello,
As well as crossing the Atlantic, this changes adds lots of unconnected nodes such as node/4965049954 . Can you explain what they're for?

Andy

Hello,
Did you discuss the changes to these objects with the OSM communities concerned, and with the people who originally added them?
I'd be interested to know how you verified these changes without any source.
Best Regards,
Andy

For more info, see osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct .

50209964

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
There are a few reasons why automated edits such as this one need to be discussed.
One is to give people who are using the "old" tagging chance to change to the "new" tagging. Without any kind of warning, features will disappear from downstream maps and datasets with no warning.
Another is that the tagging of these objects may be incorrect. I'd argue that for example way/450900122/history needs a tag to say what it is, not just what sport is associated with it. It's true that the tagging needs to be improved here, but an automated edit that removes potention problems from QA tools is not the way to fix it.
I've reverted this.

Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group.

@amisha2016 As I said over on changeset/50130355 " before doing any sort of import you'll need to read osm.wiki/Import , osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines and osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct . In particular, the steps in osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines must be followed."
You haven't done any of those.

你好 - 你能解释为什么你在这个和以前的变更集中删除了这么多东西?
