Hello,
Please don't add test data to the live OpenStreetMap Server. If you want a test server, perhaps https://master.apis.dev.openstreetmap.org/ would work for you?

Andy

Oops - I think that POI+ on your phone doesn't have a location. You've added this cafe in the middle of the Atlantic!
This happened the last time you used POI+, so I'd suggest that you don't use it again, at least until https://github.com/davidchiles/osm-poi-editor-iOS/issues/12 is fixed.
Other options available are listed at osm.wiki/Apple_iOS#Editing_the_map .

I suspect that the former railway at way/32678501/history has grown an extra tree_row tag by mistake?

Has the flood barrier here been replaced by a dyke (in the Dutch, not the English sense)? The last time I was here there wasn't any sort of embankment here at all, just a flood barrier.

Hi Marek,
Can you please explain what were the actual problems caused by this changeset and the others on which you have similarly commented?
Also, you may find that that using emotive language such as "stop destroying" is less effective at communicating what you want to get across than a simple question asking why a certain change was made.
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group.

Hello,
As you can see from the orange line around this change on the map at the right when you view the changeset on the OpenStreetMap website, it overlaps with the Atlantic because some data was accidentally added there.
It's been deleted now, but have you any idea how incorrect latitude and longitude values could have got into the data that you added?

Andy

You've just uploaded the learnosm test data to OSM again! As I said in changeset/49566338 , please don't do that.

Hello ccityplanner12,
The tagging on node/925374644 seems a bit odd - it seems to have a ref set to a Youtube video.

Oops - something gone wrong with the merging that created way/35542400/history . It now has "lcn_ref=1;2;2" and "lcn=proposed;yes;yes".
Are you OK to split it again and reapply the old tags or would you like me to do it?
Best Regards,
Andy

Hi,
way/201042775/history is tagged as "historic=f". I guess that this is a typo for something?

Andy

Hi JonS,
way/460552576/history is tagged as "historic=f" - is that a miskeying of the other key highway=footway?

Andy

@SNLA this has been mentioned on the talk-gb list - https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-gb/2017-June/020317.html . If you want to engage with the GB OSM community, that's probably the best place to do it, and also one of the best places to ask for advice about whatever it is that you're trying to do.

Quite possibly - I didn't mark the position; was just surprised that it was shut.

Hi,
On way/42966910/history you've added a wikipedia link from a 707 parked at Hamburg to the wikipedia page for Boeing 707s in general. This doesn't make a lot of sense. If there's a wikipedia page for this specific example of a 707, then of course it would make sense to add the link to that.

Andy

Hi,
I've removed the wikipedia tag you added here because the wikipedia page for an abstract concept ("null island") isn't relevant to a physical buoy floating in the ocean.

Andy

The sign on the side says just "Travelodge"; their website suggests an official name of "Travelodge York Central Layerthorpe".

Hi - just for info - I've undone a node drag / node join that connected the end of the Cotswold Way to the corner of the Pump Rooms in changeset/49514046 (based on the geometry change highlighted by http://osmhv.openstreetmap.de/changeset.jsp?id=49401905 ).

Well the wiki says a lot of things... Unfortunately it's not always a good indicator of how people map; just how one particular wiki editor (the last one to edit the page) thinks that people should map.

The discussion on the tagging list back in 2013 https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2013-October/thread.html#15332 (and on talk before that) did highlight the differences and similarities.

There was a carto rendering change at https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2014-October/071324.html - since then there has been a certain amount of "tagging for the renderer" where people tag bed and breakfasts as guest houses.
