Are you sure that way/398397867/history is better described as a hotel than a resort?

53132365

How do you know that these items should have been tagged as "amenity=pharmacy" rather than "shop=chemist" (a perfectly valid but slightly different OSM tag)?
This is one reason among several why it's a good idea to discuss mechanical edits before doing them, as discussed in osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct .
Some of these (including the nearest one to me node/4110103978/history ) should undoubtably be "amenity=pharmacy", but something like node/4818100711 I'd be much less certain about. Given that there are only 19 ways here it's actually feasible to contact the previous mappers in each case!
Best Regards,
Andy

node/4744899123/history just looks residential to me. Are you sure that there's actually a furniture shop located there? If it's a "work from home" business, and there's nothing visible on the street, then it shouldn't really be in OSM. Also, you've left the spammy description in place (on this and on many other entries).
For completeness though some of the undeletes were valid - node/3655799031/history was an SEO edit at v2, which I'd previously reverted, so undeleting that one makes sense.

Andy

"source=Knowledge" means you've personally surveyed all of these, presumably? :)

If you want to test stuff, there's a test site over at https://master.apis.dev.openstreetmap.org/ that you can use.
It's probably about time that these were changed back to houses...

Maybe you're reading a different wiki to me, but where did this data come from? Did you personally create it, either by by survey or by interpretation of imagery? Or did it come from some other source?

The reason why this is larger than just NSW is that changesets such as changeset/52640146 has a source of http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/business-industry/heavy-vehicles/maps/restricted-access-vehicles-map/map/ which was reverted here.

53052369

If you think any of these might be valid, maybe try and contact the previous mappers?

Hi,
Are you sure that node/5024812100 isn't just drive-by spam? Also the equivalent node in LA? The London address looks fake for a couple of reasons - it's in Denmark Street, which is basically musical instrument shops and a few bars (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denmark_Street#Current_occupants ), and a web search on the address turns up another music shop https://www.allinlondon.co.uk/directory/1092/134997.php .
It's definitely worth doing checks on each of these objects with "wrong" keys - there are only 9 of them here, so there's really no excuse not to.
Just reading the names below suggests that some of the others are spammy too!

Re way/184967148 , if you're familiar with the area then by all means fix it. If not, it'll clearly show up as a QA issue and someone who is familiar with the area will be able to fix it.
Unfortunately I haven't been walking that side of Keswick (other than just around Derwentwater) for a few years now, so can't offer any local knowledge.

I'd explain the process that you're going through to add the data. osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments has some ideas.

@carlosz22 it still looks like an import to me - talking about the tags to be used before adding a large number of objects to OSM is one of the main steps set out at osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines . I'd suggest that you follow those now (even if the discussion is after the initial import) and take advice there on the tags that you're using.

For information, I've re-added a lot of the language codes that you had previously removed from Lirkuk. If there are any problems, please contact data@osmfoundation.org .
This has been mentioned before, see osm.org/user_blocks/1459 .

Are you sure that all the locations are correct? Many in the list seem to have been created by MAPS.ME users, who tend to use lesser-used tags (such as "embassy") to create personal markers. node/4697076691/history in particular seems odd; it was previously tagged as a sports centre operated by the embassy. The Embassy itself is at way/126175288#map=18/27.73821/85.33673 . A MAPS.ME user added an "embassy" tag, perhaps because they wanted to save the location of the sports centre. Either way, the MAPS.ME node appears incorrect - it's likely not an embassy, and there's already an area feature for the thing that they are trying to add a marker for.

Hello,
You still are not using meaningful changeset comments. We know what "Hydrology" means, but it does not explain the process you are using.
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM's Data Working Group.

Hello Salaamlogari,
I think that this got saved accidentally - way/532878906/history just seems like a doodle.
I've removed it.

Andy

Hello Rexma423, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
The change that you've made here covers quite a large geographical area and that makes it difficult for people in one area to see just the things that affect them in their area. If you put different edits in different areas in different changesets then that problem doesn't occur.
Also, it would really help other mappers if you could use a changeset comment that's a bit more meaningful than "fixed things." - expain what you did and what the source was (maybe you have local knowledge of the area?). That way people will be able to understand the changes that you're making better.
Hope you don't mind me mentioning this; just trying to help. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hello velmyshanovnyi,
All of your recent changesets just have the changeset comment "#hidrology". Can you please start to use sensible changeset comments that describe the change that you made and what the source was (it doesn't appear to be Bing here, despite the tag).
