The import was discussed for a long time without any action taken. I spoke to an active local contributor who's done local imports in the past, and they suggested adding the `fixme` tags so that it's possible to differentiate between existing and imported addresses.

From my point of view, the import was successful, and except one duplication problem that was fixed right away I haven't noticed other issues. I know this *now*, but it was not obvious when the import was done.

I'm not opposed to mass removing the tag.

This my first import, so apologies if I haven't followed the instructions in full; truth be told, I found navigating the guidelines pretty hard. No surprise that the only other attempt made back in 2014(!!) failed: osm.wiki/User:AdamWill/Imports/Vancouver_property_addresses

Hey, the path you deleted (way/473466771) exists. I don't understand why you did this, but I'm going to restore it.

I noticed that too; even though there are no duplicates in the file I imported https://codeberg.org/Anibyl/osm-vancouver-addr/releases/tag/v1.1 . Perhaps there's a bug in JOSM. I'll need to clean up. Thank you.

This changeset is likely wrong.

I would translate this as tagging it with highway=path and foot=designated, omitting the bicycle tag.

Thank you for reaching out about Grey Gum Trail. I looked into this, and unfortunately it seems like a bit of a grey area.

The trail itself appears to be no wider than a typical sidewalk, but it is not part of our sidewalk network. Additionally, it is not part of our cycling network either. Also, as the trail is in both Burnaby and Vancouver, different rules may apply depending on where you are.

That said, it doesn’t seem like bikes are explicitly prohibited. Given that it is a tight and shared space, my advice is to ride through the area respectfully and give pedestrians the priority. Yield if pedestrians are approaching from the front and allow them to pass, or dismount if you are approaching someone from behind.

Sorry I do not have a more definitive answer.

Hi, could you please explain why you marked Grey Gum Trail with bicycle=no? This tag requires local rules to prohibit cycling on the path, but as far as I'm aware this is not the case.

Hi, this changeset broke cycling direction between Main and Kingsway. It's not one way for bicycles since they're not banned from the travel lane, and if they were, the direction would not be right.
