Hello NACHINDI _ ABDUL _RAUF, map each building separately. Mapping a cluster of buildings as single buildings is not proper mapping.

Once again, my apologies. I had no intention of spamming you; it just turned out I had further concerns after submitting a comment.

These are streets with street names that do not allow vehicle traffic, versus simple footpaths.
- The difference between highway=pedestrian vs highway=footway is not about having a name. Footways can also have names. Pedestrian highways are usually large enough for cars but are reserved exclusively for pedestrians and are typically found in city centres. That's why they are rendered as big as highway=residential, if not bigger.

Footpaths often do not get rendered downstream
- Footpaths (highway=footway and highway=path) are rendered.

Deleted church: Pls identify via node id
- At first glance, I thought the church was deleted. Now I notice parts of it have been reused elsewhere.

suburbs vs neighborhoods - pls look at the definition for each
- If you look around Accra New Town (suburb), you will find the neighbourhoods Akoa Ndor, Kpehe, Aryee Diki. I'm pretty sure we do understand the difference between a suburb and a neighbourhood.

As an example - La is definitely a suburb, places like Ringway Estates, North Ridge and Asylum Down are NOT.
- On what basis do you make this claim?

A cluster of "suburb" nodes will only render one node in almost ALL downstream clients.
- We are not tagging for the renderer. Just because suburbs are clustered doesn't mean we should demote some of them to neighbourhoods so that they can be "properly" rendered. Within these suburbs, there are neighbourhoods that are yet to be added to the map.

Building=part has to be in a relation for it to be valid
- building:part=yes doesn't have to be in a relation to be valid. They are used in Simple 3D Buildings.

I don't map for a specific downstream client, so I'm not "mapping for the renderer" - I'm just trying to make sure that these areas and districts actually show up!
- Mapping so that things "show up" is the classic definition of mapping for the renderer.

I'm sorry, but the more I look into this changeset, the more issues I find. Although valuable street names have been added, it will be a pain to nitpick and fix the data damage introduced in this changeset. I believe reversing this changeset would be the best solution.

As a non-local, why do you downgrade suburbs to neighbourhoods? And why do you remove details of the transport network relations?

178605297

I notice that you've also deleted a church; any reason for that?

178605297

Hello Greg_Rose, you've added a number of footpaths here with the tag highway=pedestrian. I think highway=footway or highway=path would be more suitable.

Hello, kindly desist from deleting addresses or anything you don't have sufficient knowledge of.

This changeset has been revert via changeset/178628272

Hello, don't add made-up names to roads or any other object. "road link to a village" is not a name.

Tag the polygons around settlements with landuse=residential instead of place=*.

178481523

A post office box address is not a postcode. I'll advise you stop adding "addr:postcode"="P.O.BOX 19" to all the objects you map.

Hi Godfred_uew, you have added EMRYSTECH SOLUTION two times. Which is the correct location?

The names of places should not be ALL UPPER CASE; using Title Case is the acceptable practice in OSM.

178465531

Hi FLPREKO, avoid adding generic names to show what an object is. The name=* tag is used for recognised or official names. Change building=yes to building=school to denote that it's a school building.

I will remove those in this changeset, but take note for future edits.

Hi MagnusQuaye, you don't have to save/upload after mapping a single building. It's much better to map several buildings and upload them in one changeset.

Hi St_Boniface, welcome to OSM and thanks for the contributions so far.

A few things you need to know:
- to add a village/town, add a node at the centre of it and tag it with place=village + name=* instead of adding it to the land use polygon.
- don't add new roads where they are already mapped. Modify the existing ones instead
- use leisure=pitch + sport=soccer to add football parks. leisure=park is something different.
- don't ignore warnings that show up while saving/uploading your changes.

The changes have been restored with changeset/178306738

Hi World_Winner, a ton of valuable local knowledge was added in that changeset, and I don't think it's a good idea to simply revert it without retaining the info. The changes needed correction, not a revert.

178250412

Hi again, please pay attention and avoid entangling features with roads. That's not an ideal way to map.

178250353

Hi Kofi Appiah, this one is done right except for the name. Use Title Case for place names instead of BLOCK LETTERS. I have corrected this one, but take note for future additions.

178250224

Hi Kofi Appiah, welcome to OSM.

You are doing well in trying to add local knowledge, but you are not doing it right. You need to add the appropriate tags to each feature (osm.wiki/Map_features) you map.

See why tags are necessary here: https://learnosm.org/en/hot-tips/tagging/

Best,
Sam

Hello Natex_ason, welcome to OSM.

Does the print shop occupy the entire building? If not, it's better to add the shop separately as a node (point).

You need to add a physical tag of what it represents. One of shop=printing or shop=copyshop.

The name should also be in Title Case (Als Print/ ALS Print) instead of ALL UPPER CASE. And unless Comm 17 is officially part of the name, you don't need to add the location in the name tag.

Best,
Sam

Hi confidence_19, why have you added a path to an already-mapped road?

177214658

Hi Mwinfang, welcome to OSM. The addr:street tag is meant for the name of the street the building is on. Using coordinates as its value is incorrect, so it's best to remove it.
