Narva is an ENDONYM not an exonym. The official name in German may be Narva, but the colloquial name that's actually used by people is of course Narva. Same with all other names you deleted in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Russia. We should set multilingual names to actually used by the PEOPLE, not just the officials.
Also, your last argument seems pointless because
1. If such thing was a case, that would require a massive global revert of multilingual names. That includes all existing German names in Poland and other countries where German is not the official language except for standardised names,
2. Names in the Królewiec region aren't actually original names. Those are actually in old Prussian or German. Also, original names that have been used for centuries outnumber the transliterations or endonyms.

If you disagree with this comment, go ahead and revert ALL unstandardised names in ALL languages.

"Narwa" is the correct transliteration of the Estonian and Russian name of the city in German[1]. Are you gonna consider EVEN TRANSLITERATIONS historical names? And no, your cited "UN recommendations" won't fit here as a) if a name is used in one language then it should be tagged under the language[2] b) this is a transliteration so it would comply with those "UN recommendations" c) "Narva" in German would sound something like "Narfa".

so what? adding valid polish translations actually helps poles understand foreign cities better. same as in Zgorzelec the multilingual tags for Innenstadt were "fr=Centre Ville" before my changesets.

Nordenburg is actually the listed German name in both Polish and German Wikipedia, same as Nordenbork in Polish. Also, in changeset/182034590 I reverted the polish names in accordance with the KSNG (except for of course Królewiec which has been used exclusively).
