Changeset When Comment

Hello.
Could you please elaborate why did you tag intersections of a sidewalk on 151st Ave with parking lot driveways as marked crossings? Satellite imagery doesn't show any markings.

Also, how come you tagged intersection of 88th St and 151st Ave as uncontrolled when you can clearly see diagonal traffic light gantries extending into the middle of the intersection?

Hello.
Please note that refuge islands on crossings are best tagged as footway=traffic_island rather than =sidewalk.
You can read more about this tag at footway=traffic_island ๐Ÿ‘

Hello.
Is it necessary to add lanes:hgv:backward=1 if we already have lanes:backward=1?

Also, this segment is tagged as oneway=yes, yet there's both lanes:backward and lanes:forward tags. Seems like a contradiction, don't you think?

I fixed it up by properly splitting crosswalks

I'm not sure if this whole thing should be tagged as a crossing island since you can cross it in only 3 places...

Hello.
Please remember to connect intersecting crosswalks, otherwise that creates incomplete navigation routing map.

Hello.
"Staten Island" part of the name should be encoded as branch= tag value.

This edit, just like all your previous ones, needs fixing of the phone number and name tags.

Hello.
At intersections, if you are mapping curbs, please don't connect 2 sidewalks to the same curb, the way you did at curbs 11402316008, 11402316011, 11402316012 and others. Doing that affects pedestrian/wheelchair navigation routing since it crosses through such a curb. Some routers might complain that it crosses a curb and show a warning, when in reality you can easily get between these 2 sidewalks w/o that curb.

Perhaps Eltingville Blvd should get parking tags too? Or at least parking:right=separate osm.wiki/Street_parking#Separately_mapped_parking_areas_and_spaces

Additionally, "Chicago West", "Chicago North", "Atlanta", etc must not be in the name tag but rather in the branch= tag, specifically intended for this kind of information.

Hello.
As documented in phone=*#Usage phone numbers must contain country dialing code(in US it's +1) and they must be separated either by space or dash "-".

Furthermore, street names must be fully spelled out, not abbreviated. Not "E Roosevelt Road" but "Roosevelt Road" or "East Roosevelt Road", whichever is appropriate.
Both of these problems must be corrected.

I found my workflow that works for me and I'll continue to review at the rate that I find suitable to me.
There are no other volunteers reviewing things. I see shit that doesn't get fixed for days, weeks, months and even years.

Not having made a single change in the last 2 months, what brings you to this changeset? ๐Ÿคจ

On daily basis I review 100-300 changesets. It's unrealistic to expect to send a private message in addition to a changeset comment on every changeset that needs fixing or clarification. Changeset comments were created with the specific purpose of public communication about that change. Sending private messages defeats that purpose.
Furthermore, I personally use Gmail and have no problems with receiving and seeing any changeset messages I get. None of them ever go to spam or otherwise get filtered. ๐Ÿคท

This is an incorrect approach. You are essentially mangling the data to suit one specific application's idiosyncrasies. This is considered osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer and shouldn't be done. The application itself needs to be fixed to address this deficiency rather than the underlying data.
