Just now finding this. The Charleroi rail network is a very strange beast. It's origin (from the 1890's) is two tram network, an interlocal one (spanning all of Belgium) and a city tram network. The latter had gone by 1976.
Then a "light metro" network with a central ring and 8 branches was planned from the 1970's and the first stage opened in 1979.
All of the interlocal tram lines were gone by 1992, except for the section between Anderlues and Fontaine-l'Évêque.
The tram line between Piges and Jumet remained in place as well, but only for depot runs.

Most of the core network built between 1976 and 1994 is proper "lightrail" with no at-grade intersections and technically even able of driverless operation. From 2000 on, section to Jumet and Gosselies got rebuilt as a proper street tram, the section from Gilly to Soleilmont is built (as light metro, except for the turning loop) and the section between Parc and Sud (now called Central) as well as tram. There is a clear separation what is tram and what is "metro" on the ground, as there are signs "end metro operation / start tram operation" (see e.g. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Charleroi_Metro_-_fin_de_exploitation_Metro_a_Gilly.jpg)
From Belgian law, it's the /track/ that makes the de jure distinction what something is, not the /vehicle/. So basically Pétria - just before Soleilmont, the two arms of the ring to just south of Parc and former Villette and the under-construction line towards Les Viviers up to just before the station should be mapped as light_rail or metro, while everything outside that should be mapped as tram. There are actual signs on the ground telling where the boundaries between those two are.

Hallo, ik zie dat je in deze changeset een heleboel snelweg op "highway=motorway" ipv "highway=construction" hebt gezet, dat klopte niet. Dat is grotendeels teruggedraaid. Het is gebruikelijk pas op het moment dat een weg echt open is de construction er af te halen, ook al lijkt de bouw al voltooid.

Nouja, als het straks (bijna) klaar is (de tijdelijke situatie) nog maar eens kijken dan.

Van public_transport=platform

Regel 1: "Use public_transport=platform to identify the places where passengers board or alight from public transport of any type", kortom de plek waar mensen in- of uitstappen.

Onder "How to map": "The platform can be mapped as a node way or area. Nodes are used for locations where there is no physical infrastructure (for example a customary bus stop without infrastructure or with a pole), a way is used for a location where a linear area is allocated for people using public transport, and an area is used when a more expansive size is allocated or where different platforms adjoin, such as at in a railway station.". Kortom: als er een perronrand is, zet je public_transport=platform op de halterand.
Als er geen perron is, dán doe je het op de haltepaal.

Dat heb ik niet gezegd, dat is de internationale concensus.

Daar ga ik niet in mee. changeset/178960021 hier hebben we wat ik beschrijf als concensus bereikt. Dat jij daar niet in mee wil gaan betekent niet dat dat de concensus is. Als je daar wat aan wil doen moeten we die discussie overdoen, maar dan op het forum.

Excuses, ik wist niet dat local_ref de perronletter was, ik dacht dat ref die taak had.

Voor wat betreft de haltenodes die in de route_relatie horen... Dat blijf jij maar beweren, maar m.i. horen de platform (dat is de perronrand) en evt de stop_position in de routerelatie. De haltepaal (die we alleen voor de rendering op de standaard-kaartlaag taggen met highway=bus_stop) hoeft niet in de routerelatie.

Hoi A67-A67, ik heb de sporensituatie op halte Parnassusweg iets aangepast, n.a.v. wat ik gister gezien heb. Maar ik heb nog geen tekening voor de definitieve situatie gezien, en in dit geval mist er een halte voor de in/uitstappers richting het noorden. Heb jij een betere bouwtekening hoe het wordt?

Je bent eigenlijk nog te vroeg, de Annemie Wolffbrug is in Zuidwestelijke richting nog niet in gebruik. Maar lang zal 't niet meer duren.

I have added mtb:type=allmountain to the 5 "crosscountry" and =downhill to the 4 in the bike park.
There is one path that is accessible on foot in the bike park, it snakes a bit around the bike track. I uploaded it as way/1429227131#map=17/44.789825/6.944162

I think it is a bit weird the bike park tracks are now rendered as a "bicicle path" on OSM Carto, but that's a fault of OSM Carto, on OSMAND they still show as a path (black dashes) while a proper bike path is blue long dashes...

I have added the 5 randonnée routes, but could you check on the mtb:type (as the values are not properly described on mtb:type=* ) and other things on those routes? There is also some trajectory missing southeast of Valpreveyre of the route 55 (Grand tour de Gilly).
