This seems like a very roughly drawn woodland area. The source is supposedly bing, but this doesn't bare any relation to the bing imagery.

(I mean there's natural=wood here but if you're positioning boundary of the woodland based on bing, you wouldn't draw way way/1348683484 )

Is this actually data imported from some woodland dataset? or what is it actually based on?

The reason I settled on addresses on doors approach, is after seeing a few confusing houses with multiple doors. I decided it's best to just *map what I see*

But yeah "largest object to which they unambiguously apply". I like that.

Err ok. I've done quite a *lot* of data in the arrangement you see here, up to the current day.

If you're saying the entrance node remains at the front door location, I suppose we don't actually lose detail by moving the address tags on to the house building (where there is just one entrance), and I can see it's better from a rendering point of view.

My main concern would be, if you're looking to swap approaches across other people's edits to, is this going to end up as an annoying debate with flip-flopping between approaches? Or is the community tending towards some consensus on the address tags on building approach?

Personally I'm not going to strongly defend my way of doing it, but addresses on doors is quite a habit for me now. Maybe this means I'll have to form a new habit.

Thanks for resolving note/300077 . Very old note!

I'm coming across some of these building outlines. This data should've been improved before upload. It's very poor quality in places e.g.: https://www.instagram.com/p/DWeG05hjZZH/

Just noticing on this edit (from a while ago now) you deleted the post office on Stroud Green Road. node/393464345/history Was that deliberate? Adding a note to check: note/5174608

Nice work updating Stroud Green Road!

Looks like you've resolved a couple of notes with that: note/4898793 and note/4898794

Sorry yeah this my original mapping.

I agree it's not ideal. I think I would resort to that tag just if I can't decide on a more specific category, and the stuff they sell is all overpriced luxury nonsense.

Some of these probably sell multiple such items, e.g. if shop sells pens *and* watches *and* cufflinks, what kind of shop is it? Luxury nonsense! Some of these it might just be that couldn't tell what they sell based on my mapping photos.

I should've done this soon really because it's probably been about a year now that this construction site has been extended to divert my usual walk through to the tube station, going from Duncombe Rd -> Ashbrook road. I have to go down and around the little park diagonal path.
Also I think somebody re-connected a cycle route here, but that hasn't existed for the whole period of construction (which is going on for years)

eek! That is *not* what I intended to do! Fixed: changeset/167449791

Yeah live pretty nearby. It's still in construction. Taking a while! but starting to look like it might be finished soon. I suppose I could try to have a guess at where the new building is now within the construction area.

mapwithai didn't get the shape of these buildings very well did it? changeset/152100913#map=19/51.587907/-0.124369 It should be a typical terrace of "L" shaped houses, but it's made lots of diagonals.

152025435

Oh well done. I just spotted the new Maldron hotel is open here now, but I'm glad to see you beat me to it!

I saw you added an MRI entrance here: node/2444492356 but a couple of days ago somebody added a note here asking us to map the MRI entrance: note/4251849#map=19/51.57462/-0.32232&layers=N Slightly different location to the one you mapped, but might be because the data is a bit offset from reality. I haven't been there myself, but it would be great to harness the entusiasm of User:DodgyKnee who clearly *has* been there and has been dropping a few notes/replies. What d'you think? Move the MRI entrace to that building to the east?

oh yeah. amenity=fast_food cuisine=sandwich is better. Fixed

In this changeset you added a natural=beach node in the middle of a Wistow Cafe Bistro car park: node/11509255096/history Was that a mistake?
