After reading your message to me, I've tagged the section of Joelle Lane SE, between the two gates, just to the east of Fox ridge Lane SE, as access=no. If this section is accessible for emergency vehicles, like fire trucks or ambulances, it could also have the tag emergency=designated. See emergency=*

With the gate, the roads are typically tagged as access=private. That way friends and family can use routers to get to their final destination. Can you please review this edit. I'll send you more info on OSM in a message.

If routers are sending people on access=private tracks, then it a problem with the router. Can you please change these back to access=private and talk to the router company to get them not to use these tracks?

The ways you tagged as highway=unclassified look more like highway=service. unclassified is basically a rural residential road. Can you review this?
