Thanks for adding this information and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Organization names are relevant here because to my understanding this is changing "ubereats" to "Uber Eats" according to the changes comment. So that is correct, matching the trade name of Uber Eats, but I think we agree on that, so just reinforcing :)

Thanks Frederik! Context is important --Kevin

Relevant here as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Snowball_clause

We welcome new mappers to edit the map, but when it turns combative that’s when we need to engage folks like the DWG. You are welcome to propose any change you like, but ATYL is a core tenant of OSM and you’ll burn any political goodwill you have by suggesting we change that.

Hey y'all! Happy to see that golf courses continue to get attention in OSM! I have fond memories of sneaking out after course closing and before dusk to get a few holes in as a kid, so much so I live on a golf course now! I also have tried tackling disc golf (not as fun to me -- don't tell the local teams!) and disc golf mapping.

Anyway... mapping! b-jazz is right that we don't have the concept of forward and backward green positions as tags on OSM. You can of course create ATYL, but position is likely not the best tag for that. A separate discussion perhaps if you're passionate about it.

The good news is it is easier than getting everyone everywhere to start adding these, you can today for any hole calculate with the centerlines and golf=green how far away the closest node on the green is and the furthest (pin is already wherever it is - also queryable). I think the only logic you'd really need to take is to follow the centerline until the last node before the green so it is as the hole is designed not as the crow flies distance.

If you're keen on joining a group, I would welcome you to join the OSM US Slack, https://slack.openstreetmap.us/ there's even a #golf and #tagging channel to join to discuss all things golf maps. I think you'd enjoy it!

Ive also used Claude/OpenAI to do mapping things, it's quite powerful (we have an #ai channel too) and helpful when making custom maps with existing data!

Bulk tagging only needs to be discussed when it is not obvious cleanup like this. The changeset size is the only real concern here. Further, we use the trade name of businesses in OSM (We wouldn't say "McDonald's, Inc."). In this case, "Uber Eats" is correct. This can be further reinforced with `delivery:partner:wikidata` to address any confusion elsewhere.

Thanks so much! Yeah, I am working on EV chargers in general on NSI, just submitted this PR today: https://github.com/osmlab/name-suggestion-index/pull/12303...

Name is a much more contentious proposition overall (See https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/restructure-wiki-page-key-name/110631) but there's pretty good guidance that these just state the brand or operator.

Thanks again for your work! Happy mapping!

Hey I haven't reviewed the rest but the EV station you have replaced the operator being Georgia Power with Operator being ChargePoint despite my addition of `not:operator` to avoid that. Also, please see the charging station wiki regarding names, this station does not have a name. Thank you for your work around Valdosta!

Hey Udar,
Frequency=0 is a wiki documented value for DC power. Tesla Superchargers are all DC EV fast chargers so 0 would apply and be valid.

Hey whats the source for these pipeline locations?

178160938

Hi There,

It seems the website tag here is malformed (should include the https portion). In addition, this moved the `alt_name` to `not:name` when it is in-use in reliable sources and verifiable on the ground. Please revert those changes. Thank you!

Hey Gamer2000! Thanks so much for adding these street lamps. Fantastic work in Brevard County :)

You're in the right! Thanks for updating the map!

Thanks for editing this! I edit around Valdosta daily and have been to Quiet Pines a few times - I imagine the fact that it's gated and has such as strong connection to the base connects them in people's minds. It is however in the MAZ-1 (Moody Activity Zone 1) which also includes the base and has some pretty hefty restrictions. https://valorgis.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=46896a0dc6b34504a841368b703542b0

Makes sense to remove it since Wikidata already links to Wikipedia. Wow. Sorry about that!

167956676

Thanks! I wasnt aware of that, i can remove that tag quite easily! Makes sense to keep it as Wikidata already links to Wilipedia anyway

Hi! This was because i was touching all the Tesla Destination chargers with incorrect frequency tags in the US so it was a bit spread out

Hey! Thanks for this! At what point should we mark this area as construction for Radiator Springs and remove the river of america and the (now old) Tom Sawyer Island?

That one is at the service center of the dealership. The Department of Energy, EV Connect, PlugShare, Apple, Google, and us all have it over the building. I suspect that its inside the service center.
