FYI
Most buildings are orthogonal in shape. In the iD editor there's a shortcut key to quantize (Q).
Road ways represent the centre line of the road so buildings should always be set back to allow for its width.
Tall buildings suffer from the 'parallax error' where it looks like they're leaning over. Always position a building to its base not its roof

Re: Closures. - it de[ends. I map what I see. That it was fully fenced off suggest it was major works.
In Combe Down no one appears to know what's going on. It's a site in transition moving down the road.

I didn't add the "chunky" roads. It's not something I see as relevant or important atm.

When I went in July it was being dug up & surrounded by Heras fencing. it looked like a major job. Has it been completed? Have you checked with First?.

From aerial imagery this path is clearly separated form the service road by a wall given the shadow cast. Knowing the steepness of the topography I suspect it's a retaining wall. They do not join.

I notice you've added highway=foot to railway=platform. Was this performed automatically by GoMaps or did you add them manually? After a discussion on the forum that iD editor was adding them by default it was felt these tags were unnecessary. as platforms only purpose is to be walked on.
