place=village/town/city etc rarely works as ways as no one knows the exact outline, if it exists at all. The vast majority are mapped as nodes. This is a typical poor example:
Residential areas are for representing locations where people live. Churches, parks, schools etc are not where people live. I'll be removing the erroneous tags. |

It assumes the user's desired end result is a MP. Just because it does it, it doesn't mean it's right way to leave it. Unless they're extremely long, splitting polygons into MPs is unnecessary. |
