Changeset When Comment

Regarding the northern feature. Not quite finished I think, and not enough info to guess what was intended.

Added building, driveway and a bit more info.

Hi, with respect I think this changeset is also a mistake. It certainly has no relevance to the OSM database and unless you can explain it it should be removed, Regards

Hello, If access through the gates to Royal Close and Collinson place is access=private then I would expect the roads beyond the gates to also be access=private. So the two ways should be tagged a such. Regards

Hi, no problem, glad to help. Couple of good guides for building outlines are:- https://www.mapbox.com/blog/fast-building-tracing/
and :- https://github.com/mapbox/mapping/wiki/Advanced%20mapping%20guide#buildings

Hi, just wanted to let you know you've somehow dragged several nodes and made self intersections on the outline of the construction land. Do you want to redraw it or shall I try to revert the changes.

Are the areas tagged as heath really heath lands? As far as I am aware these are fells and should be tagged natural=fell.

Hi, surely the cycleway going through buildings from Leighfield Road is not supposed to duplicate the foot-way. Is it meant to be a shared cycle/foot way?

Quite a lot of mistakes made here on the forest areas. Lots of single untagged nodes all over the place. looks like a lot of parts of areas have been deleted.

35879582

Thank you for pointing this out.
My mistake, it was a duplicate node, both were on the same spot by the same mapper. I separated them to make sure all tags were on the remaining node. Then inadvertently forgot to remove the duplicate which is now removed.

I have tweaked your new school area and removed the duplicate school area keeping all relevant tags on the one area.

35776571

I have redrawn the areas because you inadvertently had several self intersections and had moved the outlines of adjacent areas/buildings. I have also removed the building, car park and roads you inadvertently left under the new building.

35776591

I have deleted the duplicate car park area and placed all relevant tags including your new name tag on the one area.

35776610

You only need one amenity=school tag for the school. I have removed the two or three extra ones. When several buildings/areas make up a school it's usual to place all the main tags on the overall area which you have done.

RILD building does not look right and there is a self intersection of the outline.

From the Bing image these are buildings but none are tagged as buildings. The buildings should be conventionally tagged so that they can be rendered properly.
Sorry but it looks like you've done a lot of mapping like this. The buildings can be seen in your JOSM editor but none of the building show on the OSM map they are not rendered. Please look at this link :- http://tinyurl.com/gkrb78c

From the Bing image these are buildings but none are tagged as buildings. Also there are hundreds of single untagged node beneath the building nodes.
The buildings should be conventionally tagged so that they can be rendered properly. The single nodes should be removed

Duplicate section of roundabout :- Way: 220524955
Needs looking at before removal to keep all relations whole.

Hello, I can't see where anything was fixed after your last edit. But I can only comment on what was there when I looked at correcting a routing problem. I found that way/54240537 was disconnected from way/54110777 at node/3776403450 , the two way end nodes shared the same position exactly (one on-top of the other, coordinates the same). Thus looking as if the two ways were one. Fact was the two ways were discontinuous, (thus routeing from one way to the other was disrupted). I fixed the problem by merging the two end nodes, all is OK now.
I meant no offense nor point any blame by making these comments, my comment is made so that we are all aware that things like this and the consequences can easily happen. Regards
