Yesterday the missus wanted to go shopping (always bad) but I managed to trick her into going to Turnpike Lane, and I managed to trick her into taking a few little diversions. Unfortunately it was seriously unpleasantly cold, so she didn't put up with it for long, but I got a few street names.
That's probably the closest pocket of unnamed streets to my house, so I need to go back there.
Note: to be completed
Took the family and the dog and walked forth and back through the little forest near the frozen river Oder. As the gps track had to much epicycles from crossing the ice and walking where no track was I had to edit the data with viking and upload without the noise.
I have changed Great Western Road in Glasgow to be highway=trunk. Feel free to change the lower regions nearer to the centre of Glasgow to be primary again.
This was done on the evidence of green signs along the road instead of white ones.
Given the updating of my UK Rail Map is now somewhat automated, it means as part of the monthly update procedure I can produce output such as this to show how the map is changing. There wasn't very much newly added over the three weeks between these files, which I'm hoping means that the uk rail map is fairly feature-complete.
I've produced this especially for somebody wanting to know how feature-complete we have the European rail network. Just looking at the rail network maps, even if I produced one for the whole of Europe, isn't going to tell us in any detail how complete things are - though it may give some obvious empty bits. I'm hoping a monthly output like this will be of use, and if I ever get routing working then we'll see what bizarre routes get generated.

I have the entire route from New Delhi to Gulmarg and back. Putting it on osm slowly before its forgetton or lost or i just get bloody lazy.
I spent my winter holidays in Achenkirch, Austria and took my GPS device with me when skiing (and of course when walking/driving through the village). The outline of the Christlum slopes is now entered but the many holes (rocky areas, forest, etc.) have to be cut out. Furter the slopes overlap with forests that were entered by someone else. So there's still something to do, but at least all the lifts and slopes are there.

Added some more slopes/lifts from memory (marked with source "local knowledge").
I've added some of the GPS traces I've taken from driving around Mullumbimby over Christmas. McAuleys Lane has been added, and I've noticed that the old Tunnel Road (known as Coolamon Scenic Drive) north of Mullum to the pacific highway is incorrect.
I'll have too fix that as well as tracing over upper Wilson's Creek road, Mullum Creek road and Main Arm road through to Uki
I have a lot of online projects and activities and OSM is getting an inordinately large slice of the pie. Also, whenever I go out, I notice little details that I need to add/update or verify in OSM as soon as I get home. Fixing these details immediately will take up too much time.
As a sort of compromise, I've taken to adding lots of stuff into OpenStreetBugs. I'm making OSB as a sort of to-do list for when I have more leisure time to edit OSM. It's ridiculously easy to add stuff in OSB so it fits my needs appropriately. :-)
I was in the Blue Mountains for a week last week and have mapped some more streets in Blackheath and Medlow Bath. Medlow Bath has about 90% coverage of its streets now (but hey it's a small town), and Blackheath has probably 50-60%.
Hi all,
I have a set of detailed Map features which comes from the Government of Canada - Natural Resources department. These might help in further describing the features.
osm.wiki/CanVec_OSM_Map_Features#CanVec:_Buildings_and_structures_.28BS.29
Check out the examples... perhaps i can make wiki pages for each type and enhance the description... ie. landuse=residential ???
Lemme know
Cheers,
Sam
