At the south west side of the Volkspark Friedrichshain the name of the street between Büschingstraße and Friedensstraße was renamed to the correct name Platz der Vereinten Nationen. Former name was «Landsberger Allee» - see history.

At the north side I've added the living street Am Schweizer Garten and a node for the Hotel Victors's. The last both adds are inspired by entries in OpenStrettBugs.

See trace.

I'm new here as an tracker, but created an account here about a year ago.
Recently moved and invested in a Tomtom GPS unit with Map Share, that lets you edit details about the map and upload it to Tomtom. Now I wanted to make some of these changes available to the OpenStreetMap project.

For the tracking purpose I use my Nokia N95 and the Nokia Sports Tracker application, that have GPX export functionality. This works great.

After tracking some small uncharted roads around my apartment, I started editing the OSM map. Some of the editing I have done evolve creating new roads, deleting some (on map, but no longer in reality) roads, changing one-way streets and types of roads, I now have a good sense of how it works.

Now I just need to find a navigation application for my N95, that uses OpenStreetMap. :-)

Yesterday I begun learning how to edit a map in openstreetmap by creating a map of my hometown, Santa Mariana, in the state of Paraná, Brazil. It´s very incomplete, since I´m still learning, but I think it´s a work of much social relevance, since there´s no digital map of many small towns like mine available anywhere.

I hope I can buy better equipment to make my work easier, I´m currently using potlatch and a portable car navigator with no tracking features.

Added a whole bunch of trails to Alamden Quicksilver park. Purisima Creek Open Preserve is now almost completed (except for some hiking-only trails). I've also added a trail on South Mountain, Phoenix and aligned a bunch of TIGER data in the surrounding streets.

Has anyone thought about importing the GIS data from the US National Park Service? It's weird that the outline of parks such as even Yosemite are approximations at best, but often completely non-existent (e.g. Golden Gate Park). I'm not 100% sure, but since this is data provided by the federal government, this should be free to use.

Speaking of which: pretty much all map providers (e.g. AAA) will display National Parks prominently on their maps, but Mapnik only does so at fairly detailed zoom levels. Am I the only one who uses National Parks are a way to orient myself on a map?

Добавих един липсващ път от град Баня, Карловско към Калофер. За съжаление не съм много сигурен дали е третокласен, а и какво всъщност му е републиканското означение (име)? Откъде се взима такава информация?

My parents live in the suburbs of Cheltenham so whilst visiting them for Christmas I'm going to do some mapping in and around Prestbury, where I first went to school. This area is pretty sparse, with much of the existing mapping being stuff I'd filled in from a previous brief surveying trip and from memory / NPE. Hopefully I'll be able to have a more systematic go at some of it this time!

Met up with David Dean the two days ago for some mapping. It was good, and we got a fair bit of the top of Nudgee done. There's a massive area that needs some love and attention along Red Hill Road, but I'm sure one of us will get to that eventually. At the moment it's a bit busy with Christmas and family stuff.

I did get a lot of Narangba done today that's been built up since the satellite data was taken. I've only traced streets, and haven't got many names yet, but I'm uploading a massive maze of estate down behind the new shopping centre as we speak. I'm going to have to make a project of it sometime, because there's just way too much data missing in that area right now, and the satellite imagery is skewed and dodgy anyway. If anyone wants to help, jump right in.

I also stumbled upon a post from some guy who's modded his Dell Mini with a GPS receiver and I want to do the same thing. I've got a massive Inspiron so I figure it should be easier to fit, but knowing me I'd brick my laptop fooling around with it like that.

JOSM's finished uploading, so I've got a few more changes I'm going to make tonight. It'll be good to see them rendered. :)
